DARLINGS! Since there is a massive debate about it, please note:
1) I KEPT: Si Fiori, Scandal By Night & Scandal Parfum since you also say I should keep them!
2) If I get rid of something it is because I simply STRUGGLE with this amount of perfumes I have and I choose to part ways with the ones that get less of a use. I actually ASKED YOU GUYS to help me with this declutter and give me your input if I should keep or not!
3) If I dont like something, I always tell you IT IS SHITTY 😂
4) Yes I am creating ANOTHER PERFUME FOR WINTER ❤️❤️❤️❤️
5) Just because I create perfumes with Navitus, it doesnt mean I dont see other brands or that I love everything from Navitus. Perfume review and creating my own thing are two different worlds.
Well I think that it’s real good to declutter thing to move energy … maybe putting new ones on there places 😂…

@PaulinaSchar I'm not going to continue this thread except to say that your separate reply to my comment does not make sense. You posed the hypothetical of: "If I had 20 perfumes or so.. nothing would get decluttered unless I really hate it" and then said you don't have space for more. But the opposite is more apt. If you only had 20 perfumes, it would make sense to declutter constantly in order to have a curated collection. But you have hundreds. So if something you highly recommended 3 WEEKS PRIOR doesn't make the top 200-300, then that does not give one much confidence in the recommendation.
***To be clear, I did not say you can't declutter at all. It's absolutely your choice. Rather, I pointed out that the short proximity of time (again, 3 WEEKS) between your high recommendation and the declutter questioned the value of your multiple prior recommendations. I further said that this was a reminder to viewers to take everything they see on TH-cam with a grain of salt, so that they can act responsibly. This applies to ALL content creators in ALL categories, not just you. You happened to pose the question, and I answered. But the advice allows people to remain objective, take responsibility for their choices, and to remember that videos should be viewed for entertainment (not advice).

***Since you asked about what we thought about you decluttering the Scandal perfumes: This is why everyone who watches these fragrance channels should take everything with a massive grain of salt. I literally just bought Scandal Le Parfum after watching your videos and others -- just 3 weeks ago you said that you would "highly recommend" Scandal Le Parfum. Scandal Le Parfum was even your video from 5 months ago as "My Top Perfume Picks 2023." And now you want to declutter it.
It's your right to do so, but it's our responsibility as viewers to not take these videos seriously, and you frankly lose credibility if you cannot even trust your own opinions from 3 weeks ago. Moreover, if you're going to effectively sell perfumes with any affiliate links (which you do disclose), then you should take people's hard-earned money more seriously. I owned a retail business for 13 years, and while things go in and out of fashion, I never would have recommend that a customer to buy something because it's my top pick, only to say that it's not worth it a mere 3 weeks later.

That's what I think too....another youtuber included MFK gentle fluidity gold in their 'most intoxicating perfumes ever' video one month, then the next month it was in her overrated perfumes video....I understand opinions on perfumes can change like the wind, but these 'Top blablabla videos' therefore are so disingenuous when only popular perfumes get mentioned for views or loads of gifted perfumes get mentioned so they can maintain brand relationships.

Credibility is on the floor at this rate for many reviewers. Obviously consumers need to take some responsibility for this but absolutely, I believe that humility, honesty and integrity are missing badly from many reviewers. It's a business. I think people need to stop assuming that it's anything more. The 'multiple persona's' taken on in varying videos is something to behold. It's like 'who ARE you '.
@@dorien5563 Wow, your example of MFK Gentle Fluidity is exactly what I mean! I think TH-cam makes content creators feel like they're people we can trust, but this really is just a business where everyone wants the perks you mentioned of views and free PR product. Unfortunately, there are real people on the other side of these videos who are buying these perfumes and using money that they worked hard for (which doesn't go a long way these days with inflation), and it feels like a gut punch when you realize that you were foolish enough to trust another person's word. Lesson learned!
@@yasmindavidson5171 You're absolutely right -- this is a business, and we need to look out for ourselves accordingly. Once we complain about this, too, content creators are going to do is get more clever about which perfumes they sell off and when they announce it. So being skeptical and not falling into the cycle of collecting perfumes to be part of the "community" is our top responsibility.

If you want Scandal Le Parfum, I have a brand new bottle of it that I just bought (she had recommended it 3 weeks ago). It's totally different from Scandal By Night, though. Le Parfum is the one that's like Hypnotic Poison.
I don't understand some TH-cam we talk about perfume oh is head turner, is good and long lasting in 1 or 2 month later is declutter why some viewer bought that fragrance because they watch it from the channel I don't understand
This is my job and it is simply not sustainable to keep so many. Also, everybody can do whatever they want 🤷🏽♀️ if I declutter, does not mean something is bad.

Honestly i enjoy listening to your declutters because it helps me save my money from purchasing fragrances that I'm not gung ho over lol. We have similar tastes and im over apple as well-- thought it was just me, its too buzzy on my skin.. khamra is the only "apple pie" vibe that I'm dealing with atm. . Yet it doesn't actually have apple listed as a note.😂 Everything else can go. 😅
You're right, except she recommended Scandal Le Parfum 3 weeks ago (and I bought it), and now she's decluttering it. I understand that people's tastes change, but not in 3 weeks.
@MarniMedia awe that sucks you had that experience 😕 sometimes the only way we ever find out a fragrance isn't for us is when it just reacts badly with our ph /temperature of environment. I felt this way with a few purchases most especially from the line of lancome. I loved idole nectar and intensement and then really quickly due to the high heat is was just way too much for me (plus it reminded me of a not so happy time of my life) so I decluttered it albeit it was longer than 3 weeks but sometimes 💔 it just isn't meant to be.
Kinda sucks that us consumers are heavily influenced by all the different youtube channels but when I have my sight set on 1 fragrance I research it from all types of different outlets. One being paulina , I also check with other influences as well to get a general consensus. If there's more than 5 influencers in a row that speak highly ill try it and of course-- I'll check fragrantica and see the overall rating, when the season is good for it, the notes (I stay away from tuberose and star of anise in general)

Your point is well taken about how we can change our minds about things, but to clarify, I referenced the video Paulina made 3 weeks ago to show how recently she had recommended Scandal Le Parfum. However, she's been talking about it throughout the year and even included Scandal Le Parfum in her "My Top Perfume Picks 2023" video. So this isn't a case of regular consumers like us finding out that something doesn't work for us after a few wears. Moreover, neither of us has a channel that makes commissions off of affiliate links. To that point, what ultimately bothers me is the principle of how you have content creators with large followings who don't consider the adverse impact of their changing opinions, while they will happily provide you with a long list of affiliate codes that you can use to make your purchases.
What's fueling my particular annoyance is that I owned a retail business for over a decade, and I worked with people who were all the way from very wealthy to living paycheck-to-paycheck. People have shown me the last $40 they had until the next payday in the form of two $20 bills folded in their hands. I could never recommend a product to someone without totally having the integrity to back it. But that's me, and all this will do is make content creators withhold their opinions or delay declutters until a longer period of time after their last recommendation.
Lastly, to your point, I do watch other content creators and check Fragrantica before making a purchase. Scandal Le Parfum is nice, and it smells like a cross between Dior Hypnotic Poison and Narciso Poudree. While I didn't buy the perfume solely on Paulina's recommendation, I do feel like these influencers take us for fools. But it's no different than the luxury beauty community, but there I know better which people to not listen to. Anyway, I think we should just view this all as entertainment and only buy a perfume if we truly want it and not because we trusted a stranger on the internet, when we shouldn't have.
