    Another great Yes song with another great reaction. It's so great to go back in time with earlier Yes. They were simply amazing and musical geniuses that brought rock music to it's absolute pinnacle of musical heights. I really enjoy reliving this journey with you as the perfect hostess. Love ya and keep on playing Yes. It grows on you and takes on and incredible journey that's never gets old or tiring.

    That's sweet. "Beat Club" 1971, German television and YES were still a bit in their infancy ;-)

    That was an outstanding TV appearance from the early 70s. And a rare performance video that has Bill Bruford on drums and Tony Kaye on keys. This was their line-up in 1971 before Rick joined, and already the intensity of their playing and their wild, epic arrangements were jaw-dropping. I saw other bands perform for this show, I think it was called American Bandstand, or The Midnight Special, not sure which. But YES were by far the most outstanding groupI had seen on that show, and this was the most rockin performance. Other groups always sounded restrained or sometimes they just used the studio audio track for the broadcast. But YES were not messin around.

    Hi my dear... what a nice surprise, waking up on this day... the first thing I see is THIS here. This is the first time you see a live video from Yes... and one from a famous German TV show of the 60s and 70s - Beat Club ! But as some other subscribers already mentioned, you should rather listen to the studio version, although this live performance is also great ! And your reaction ? Well, it's always a pleasure to watch you falling in love with each and every Yes song you hear for the first time... your eyes, the smile, the joy in your face while listening to and discovering every song of this great band... keep those good Yes reactions coming, there is much more to discover ! Try "I've seen all good people" next. Hugs and kisses from your friend Gerry

    This is one of their earlier live songs where they still hadn’t reached full maturity on stage. Although they are a good live concert band their studio albums have a much better sound if you are listening to a Yes song for the first time due to their complexity.
    A good studio Yes song for you to listen to next is PARALLELS from the Going For The One album.

    Hey Cynthia, I always enjoy watching your face light up listening to one of my favorite bands. Seeing them play live brings a new appreciation. When I saw the concert movie, " Yessongs ", it changed my life. I dedicated myself to becoming an accomplished musician. You may want to react to it and trust me on that list I sent you. They're all AMAZING!

    The 1980's version of Yes with Trevor Rabin is what got me interested in the band. In the 1990's, I bought the Box set Yesyears and it gave me even more appreciation for them. Lashes look nice.

      Yes and no. I love the Live from Lyon version. Slower, but better guitar and the keyboards are much better than the original. Swings and roundabouts really,. Roundabouts ... get it?

    Most importantly Cynthia’s listening to something that is “51” yrs old !! Love your facial reactions & spot on observations 👏👏 Doubt anyone will remember Kanye West or Miley Cyrus 51 yrs from today which says it all

    Chris Squire will always remain one of the all time best bassists. However, it's the sum of the parts that elevated Yes as one of the best Prog bands. Close to the Edge is my #1 desert island album. Awesome song choices Cynthia.

    Yeah obviously this was a TV performance it was pretty good though I think Tony K would have been on keyboards rather than Rick Wakeman he was a great keyboardist as well Tony K anyhow how

    I don't know what that talking was at the beginning. That's obviously not in the original recording. Sounds like a female DJ/announcer introducing the song. This apparently a live version and IMHO not quite as good as the studio version. Still great.

    you got a hold of this girl's in the lower rt. corner version of the YES song, get another, this is from a live real version ,get it , then you'll hear it right ! ! ! Get the REAL bands, geeze, -- why even comment at all when you don't even have the Real bands Music, but instead have someone else's butchered version -- the sound and the people playing it are amateur imposters - sounds awful as opposed to the real Yes song which is done and recorded beautifully

  • @lewis9702

    Please DON'T waste your time with "Owner of a Lonely Heart". It's 80's MTV 3 chord pop crap. Most Yes fans feel this was Yes' sellout period. If you want more modern quality Yes, try the underrated classic "Endless Dream" from their "Talk".

    • @krisdoggett483
      @krisdoggett483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      90125 is a very good album start to finish. They didn't sell out, they just changed with the times as they still do. It's called evolving.

    • @lewis9702
      @lewis9702 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@krisdoggett483 They didn't "evolve" if anything their 80's pop crap was an example of musical devolution. They went from incredibly complex masterpieces in the 70's, to mindless 80's commercial noise for the masses with short attention spans. That's not evolving.

    • @krisdoggett483
      @krisdoggett483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lewis9702 That's pretty harsh. Have you even listened to the album? Yes music, even in the 80s, was a whole lot better than other stuff at the time. "Love Will Find a Way" did suck though.
