Yeah no, I normally love class 1-A. but in this fic, they just reminded me of my old classmates who said that since I have ADHD, I was practically useless to society. So I am actually genuinely upset at them. I'm petty so I would have told Aizawa that they were saying that.
This.... this hurt on a personal level. Like, literally been there done that kinda scenario where you gotta stand there knowing that something is wrong and that no one is going to care, let alone fix it, because, well, it's just one kid, or just a small group, and chartering to them is just so much extra work and effort, that it'd be a waste, they don't get payed enough, there are too many kids to focused on one or a few, it's not their problem, someone else can do it instead, etc, etc, etc... You really do hear those kinds of comments on how they're inadequate, a water of space, bad for the image, how it'd be best if those odd ones out disappeared, and it's so freaking hard to ignore it all and pretend you do not understand what they mean, that they talk about you pretending you can't hear them or see them even though they're right there.... but it's even harder to seek help and get people saying it'll pass once they all get used to it, or how kids are just being kids, hearing how people call you sensitive or plain up say yourw exaggerated or overreacting, or see teachers just turn a blind eye because it's non of their business... Damn, it makes me angry, and it makes me wanna go back then and there and yell at those people that they are wrong and put them in their place... It also makes me sickly proud of my little self for ultimately punching back. It might have been wrong to use violence against them, but by the heavens did it feel good to put someone in their proper place at least once!!! (Or twice or trice or... Well you catch my drift, but in my minimum defense... that sixth year really did push some buttons and that kid poked the bear one thousand too many times, honestly, 😔)
Both the author and the narrator did an extremely wonderful job; m not the one to cry when I hear a narration of story but GOD FREAKING DAMN IT!! Tears spilled from my eyes as to when Izuku was trying his best to wrap his head around the fact that Aizawa is willing to help him regardless.
Here’s a little tidbit of what this fic is like out of context the only thing I'll say is its Uraraka Ochako saying it referring to Midorya Izuku “HereComesDatBoi: look at that broccoli it's got anxiety.”
So worth the 40 minutes, it hit all the marks for how short (at least to me?) it was! Fitting in the all too casual remarks of discrimination from the class and even Bakugo defending quirklessness??? Very verry good, and Aizawa taking immediate action- always a big fan of Aizawa taking initiative when it comes to Mido

Only redemable person we see in 1A is Shoto and Shota Aizawa. Katsuki seemed to be doing better in that regard but I hold my judgment on him
