Oh man, that backpack. My fiance and I used that exact backpack while backpacking around europe for 3 MONTHS!! it was amazing and totally worth it. I loved that it opened right up. we used packing cubes too.
@@sofiagarza7601 the 55L has a detachable daypack so it's really a 40L plus a 15L so yes the 55L can be used as a carry on as long as you detach them and put the 40L above you and the 15L day pack at your feet

They're heavy because people over pack them. Osprey makes the absolute best backpacks in the world, people give them a bad name when they use the packs improperly. A good pack that is the right size for your body, correctly worn, and not packed to overflowing will not give you back aches.

you now you dont need any more then 2 of everything ;) 2 blue jeans and 2 jackets one thicker one thinner see that they are rain repelent and windproff, and keep your colors to black and white you can never go wrong with that ^^.

Hi...that's not a 45L (which is carry-on size) it's a 55L (without the detachable backpack it would be carry-on) and that's a major difference. I too have traveled the world with a Farpoint 55L (the men's version) and have mostly been able to carry it on. You'll note at 7:56 into the video you see "Fairview 55" printed on the side!! Also, where is your camera equipment? Really enjoy seeing your perspective on traveling the world. (I found your channel as I was searching Norway travel videos) Thanks!
Love these videos! One quick question- how do you travel internationally with a backpack? Do you have to check it on flights? How does it not get damaged?!
I have the same backpack and I used it to travel to Indonesia from America. Depending on the airline, you have to be really careful with the weight of your pack and how bulky it is, because smaller in-country airlines won’t allow a carry on or a checked bag that’s over 28 lbs. I used mine as a carry on for most of the flights and had to make sure it lay relatively flat so as to fit in the overhead compartment, and the one time I checked it I took off the smaller backpack and used that as a carry on (because the smaller one is more likely to get damaged). Overall the back is really sturdy and it’s fortified with a lot of foam and mesh, so it got chucked around a lot without taking any hits!
i have a question: is it possible to leave your luggage at the hostels? cause i'm thinking about going backpacking but i'm scared it would be too heavy to carry on all day every day Thank you!

Hi :) weird question maybe, but do you wash your clothes somewhere while traveling? I mean, if not, you'd literally have to pack a ton of underwear and socks for traveling 3 weeks! Or do you use some soap and water from the hostel and let it air - dry ? Love your channel btw
A 55L is definitely not carry on size. Most places its a 40L limit. Anything over that and they'll almost always make you check it. That's why you always want to make sure you have the exact size for a carry-on for all the airlines you're flying on. Because if you have a laptop or expensive things in there that can get broken, and then you get up to the counter and they tell you you have to check it... That will ruin your trip.
im having a freak out that your shoes are in the bag UNCOVERED - especially after going to Berlin!! not only in the main part but also the backpack that you probably put make up and food in :'(

Hi! I'm fairly certain the bag is the Osprey Fairview (i.e. women's) 55L (7:54). The day bag is 15L meaning that is its actually 40L + 15L.
Osprey also makes the Fairview 40L (carry on).

Yes often!!! Hostels almost always have a spot where you can store it for several hours! So places charge but it's usually not too much
