A500 L.E.D. Storm - Intro

  • One of the very first games I played from Capcom. Amazing intro tune chip music in the Spectrum that was even better on the Amiga, by non other then legendary brothers Tim and Geoff Follin (Mike Follin was also in gamedev, but he was a coder, not a musician). They have all moved away from gamedev, but will be remembered. I really liked the futuristic car design on this one. Enjoy the song!
    Trivia: L.E.D. = Laser Enhanced Destruction.

    Ahhhhhhh.... this song is pure Amiga bliss... Whenever I tune into the Amiga music radio station in my brain, it's this song that I start humming first..

    Great stuff, I had a C64 and an Atari ST but never an Amiga. The quality on some of the Amiga tunes is pretty amazing!
    BTW, Geoff Follin was a musician as well; I think it was Mike that worked more on the programming front.
    Geoff and Tim collaborated on Sly Spy, my favourite soundtrack on the C64 and well worth a listen!

    Seriously considering moving Tim Follin ahead f Rob Hubbard in my imaginary 'best C64 muscians' list. He has nowhere near the volume of work, but everything he made was out of this world amazing. LIterally just discovered Black Lamp the other week. Epic.

    This would have been the best version of the song if the bell samples weren't horribly out of sync with the rest of the song. ZX Spectrum all the way with this one.

      I agree with you, even though I never played the Amiga version. I got the Spectrum version and like it a lot.

      ***** only the intro music or title music in the ZX Spectrum beats the other 8-bit versions such as C64 however the C64 version beats the ZX Spectrum version because it had extras such as better graphics and better sound effects

    • @cmdfarsight
      @cmdfarsight 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason Lee I appreciate the c64 had colour compared to the Speccy's monochrome but I do feel the graphics were actually sharper on the Spectrum version. The sound effects were nothing to write home about on either tbh.

    any game software creations converted was good, on c64 anyway. the arcade version of bionic commando on the c64 is better than the arcade machine and the music again was amazing. these days gameplay seems to have been forgotten about with many games.

    check out some of his c64 and speccy work. Agent x on a 48k spectrum with one sound channel.. HE MADE 4!!!.. galway is very good also, esp his c64 work. everyone goes on about tel + hubbard.. but they did great works also.
