Turkish line is the worst 😫. My sister traveled last month and really suffered. There was delay and they couldn't change her to different flight. She had to buy new ticket from turkey to USA🇺🇸. Very stressful no hotel, she had to sleep at the airport. I understand what your going through. Hope you arrived safely 🙏.

Please don’t always say that getting stranded in Africa is the worse. this literally happens every where, in Europe, they can’t even let you go to the hotel , you sleep at the airport until your airline problems are over. & Amen thx God u n ur family are okay.
Sorry about your experience at Kigali international Airport, I wørk at an international Airport and your flight was an emergency so everything had to be a mess. At the Airport they follow a very strict schedule and one emergency landing can be a total disaster.

My hubby and I used Turkish airlines to fly to Uganda from the States it was the first and the last time. They don’t care about their customers. They canceled our flight and no body reached out to us. We realized when we couldn’t check in and called them and they told us we have to stay in Uganda for a week like we have to work and stuff.
From that day I told myself even if the flight is 200 bucks I will never fly Turkish again
They don't care about customers of African descent or those not of wealthy countries

Please use the Arab Airlines. (Emirates, qatar) they are wonderful and always have a solution for problem. I and my family use them to go back to Uganda always wonderful flying with them and our luggage never gets lost.
Please avoid cheaper airlines as they always do alot of s**t and nonsense, Trust me I'm talking from experience.

So sorry for your experience dear sister. Turkish Airlines and their airport, have a big problem. There is a case of a Kenyan who went through a harrowing experience. They were extremely brutal, heartless and very unkind to her. Note, it was not her fault, but they didn't care. So you're not alone. Turks are very cruel towards Africans. Yet we go there to buy a lot of stuff from their country. Avoid anything Turkey...They don't like us.

Ooh I experienced that once but for mi it was Kenyan airways we were also going to land we could see everything on ground actually we were on Victoria I thought we gona die coz the hosts came to make sure everyone has seat belt sit up right but the didn’t announce anything yet flight was up en down later the guy took back flight we went to Rwanda en come back it took us almost a hour to land thank God that your now to share with us stay blessed my dear

Air planes don’t collide just like that. Air highways are designed in a certain way that they fly in a certain directions and on different altitude- I want to also assure you that airplanes are the safest way to travel compared to any other method of travel. It is devastating that survival rate is minimum to none when there’s a plane crash but they also don’t easily crash except human error or rare mechanical problems cause the problems but this is rare because usually pilots are highly trained. A plane can stay in air for as long as 45 minutes and without any problem. Turbulence is scary but also doesn’t easily cause planes to crash that easily. Flew Qatar airlines from 🇺🇬 to 🇶🇦 in a small plane and was frustrated by turbulence over the Sahara - but knowing that in mind, I was able to manage stress . It takes some knowledge of what’s happening in the cockpit to understand how fuselage and everyone in cabin feels.
I flew from Las Vegas to Chicago- and circulates for an hour due to tornado warning on ground as we approached landing. We had to return to Omaha and stayed up in air for about an hour just watching movies. Your pilot should have returned and take higher altitude to make it less scarier and should have maintained an open communication with passengers to calm them down. That’s my two cents

So sorry for your experience, I had almost similar issue in Entebbe with EgyptAir on our way to Kigali Rwanda, but couldn't land after trying two times over weather, it decided to go to land in Entebbe, Uganda.
Then we had our worst experience at Entebbe airport, it was that time when things were getting hot between the two countries(politically).
They told us to give up our passports and boarding papers to authorities for us to enter Uganda and stay in a Hotel as we were waiting for the next flight to Kigali, Rwanda.
We feared for our lives because you can't enter in another country without holding your passport, anything can go wrong, we refused and contacted our embassy in uganda and they immediately arranged a free flight to Rwanda for the Rwandans, we waited for it like 5 hours while at lounge in the airport fully paid by our embassy.
after 5 hours we boarded a chartered small RwandAir plane for Kigali, it was such a relief as the rest were still going through the mess we reached Kigali, I have never felt so patriotic.
Our friends who were aboard the EgyptAir flight told us what they went through, it was terrible, they were amazed when they learned that our government paid for a chartered flight and all our bills at the lounge at Entebbe.
For sure u made me cry.I thank God ur safe

Jalia it’s air traffic it happens all the time when the traffic is crazy they circle around until they are cleared to land. I had the same experience with Qatar and emirates at entebbe airport traffic is not well organized
Sorry about that shock! But you should instil manners in the kids that whenever big people are talking they shouldn't interupt. But we can understand their shock too
