6:10 I’m glad you like that laserdisc. It has become a great center piece and reference prop along with the Hard Target laserdisc.

I wish some of your old reviews were still up you have some great old videos reviews I thought were really funny like your rant on the Children of the Corn Remake. I started watching you long before the Nightmare Remake came out I miss some of those old reviews lol. I also wish I could collect some movie posters maybe when I get some more money I will hit it up.

i do have some of the same posters up on the wall too ,like cobra +rambo2 , nemesis, those might be the coolest ever, one of my faves is TOTAL RECALL , w just the pyramid (kinda like stargate similar design)
yeah today they try to recreate that old style but most of the time it looks like wax figures, washed out, not as crips +cool , even they throw too much stuff in trying to imitate , it looks off , overloaded - i'm not surprised, its just a failure from a -z

    My favorites are:
    1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
    2. Big Trouble in Little China
    3. Cobra
    4. The original Star Wars
    5. The original Thunderball poster
    6. Rambo 3
    7. Goldeneye
    8. Total Recall
    9. Invasion USA
    10. Bloodsport
    11. Willow
    12. The Silence of the Lambs
It’s a shame they don’t make them like they used to anymore and most of the time they just do floating heads or large close ups of the stars of the movies. But a lot of new movies aren’t that good anymore so maybe it’s not worth the trouble.

Best van damme movie posters would be hard target and the quest. Stallone would have to be Rambo 3 and cobra. Schwarzenegger predator and the last action hero.

The posters made today are shit. I hate that when they re-release films on dvd and bluray now they redo the artwork and make it animated they look horrible.

I always thought Goonies had a great poster. Where they're all around a skull with a pirates hat. Do you think posters have become less important nowadays to sell a film? Most people watch a trailer and know what they're going to see now. Nobody peruses the aisle in a blockbuster anymore and looks at VHS/DVD covers. So are they as important now? And is that why they don't tend to be as good? Or is it just nostalgia?

    • @ramboraph4life
      @ramboraph4life  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Less important? Sadly yes. Maybe they'll see a poster if they find an online article while looking it up. But it's not used as much of a selling tool as in the past.

Too many movie posters have zero imagination to them these days, most just have the faces of the main cast in a group to sell the picture.
