I've started to react to people being negative or toxic by saying something like "Im not going to respond if you are unable to vocalize criticism in a constructive way, feel free to try again though." Sounds dumb but I say it calmly and normally they either just don't say anything else or they try again. Oddly enough it helps me to. I had bad anxiety and stopped playing online games. But it feels like you are setting a line for yourself in what you will deal with and helps me realize that I don't have to give in or respond to negativity.
