i didn't know rain sounds would make aquatic ambience (slowed + reverb) even better than it already is! the first notes with the thunder was PERFECT 😭💞
This is one of maybe three background videos I'll play while studying. Something about it is just really comforting, magical, and invites wonder and exploration with the evocative music you chose. It's hard to feel that as an adult, especially today. Thank you
I'm a huge fan of this compilation! I kinda wish there was more "upbeat" tracks throughout, but I do like the current set of tracks and the solemn mood they put me in. It makes me think about the optimism I had about computers when I was a kid - I had lots of dreams about my future as a software/hardware developer! Unfortunately, I'm not quite as prolific as I dreamed I was going to be haha
We don't miss older things, not really. We don't miss grainy speaker audio, or dial-up internet, or old computer games. We miss how we felt in those days. When we were younger, had fewer responsibilities. We miss how we were when the future was brighter. We miss when we were happy.
Completely agree. If we were given the choice to replace all our current tech with the ones from the 90s/2000s (as wonderous as it feels looking back at our experiences with them) there would more than likely be a resounding NO. It's interesting to think that one part of us is holding onto the past, while the other chases the future, stretching us slowly and infinitely.
The Donkey Kong country one, with how echoey it sounds, it makes me feel like I long for a moment I experienced, when being born in 2005 I clearly haven’t, the next one makes me feel like I’m at my grandmothers house with all the trinkets and the smell of potpourri, the next one feels like watching a nature documentary in class in high school, the one after that reminds me of 90’s Nickelodeon, maybe Rocko’s modern life or the thornberries
Good examples. I know how you feel. Lots of these more emotional tunes do this, creating a weirdly satisfying yet depressing feeling. Nostalgia in a nutshell, I guess.
Takes me back to being a kid. Loved those rainy summer days where I could just binge on the computer all day without my mom getting on my case about it. Lego Island and RollerCoaster Tycoon all day long.
Love the concept and the choices of ambience but the rain sounds like im sitting at my computer IN the storm not like its outside my window. Think the rain needs to be a bit more muffled and distant sounding like it's behind the glass.
The Lego Island one just gets me right in the nostalgia gland.
I had to try this it is great for my physical and mental health.

I could like to see the 80s computer room next!

Words cannot describe the emotions this video brings. It has brought back feelings I have all but forgotten. Simply wonderful. Speechless….. ❤️
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... But still the time we want to go back to.

Ah… the promise of the 1990s 😅

Very nice; I don’t usually watch these types of videos but this was pleasant :)
These are really relaxing, I'd love you to do more.

Could you maybe make a version where it isn't outside rain sounds? Like instead it's muffled rain since we're inside at the computer
