Love listening/watching this show!! You fellas always have such great insight, and I enjoy hearing your thoughts and opinions!! Definitely my one-stop shop for everything Nebraska! Thanks for the great content, keep up the good work!!
2 things jump out at me around 6 minutes in to this video: 1. It would be REALLY interesting to break down the run/pass numbers at Temple/Baylor by game opponent and also by quarter in each game. I think Rhule has the mindset that he wants to be run-heavy to the point where it sets up the play-action pass game for big plays...and then wants to burn clock and salt away a lead when ahead in a 4th quarter by run-run-run. 2. Regarding 1500 yard running backs. I think it will take an elite 230+ lb running back on any Big10 team that also has a better-than-average O-Line to make it through a season in this league. A 1-2 punch like Meatchicken had last year (plus 1 or 2 reliable back-ups) is really the only realistic option for most Big10 teams with good/average O-Lines. Thoughts?
You haven’t heard the last of Gabe Ervin the kid is going to be on a mission and if completely healthy he might be the starter. I love Emmett “Smith” Johnson though .
The days of running ball 70 to 80% of game are over. You have to be able to do both to compete consistently against the big boys. I think Rhule is talking about being able to run when you have to run. A better pass game will open up run more.
“When you HAVE to run”? What a moron! If you don’t like my comment, respond and I’ll explain it to you, I promise I’ll type slow and use small words so you can follow along.
What makes anyone think that Dillon is going to be this elite college QB his true freshman year? I think Rhule will definitely rely on the run game more. You would want Dillon to come into his own gradually not try and rely on someone that has never played at this level. Comparing what Rhule did in other schools is crazy. He didn't have this team and he didn't have a starting QB that was a true freshman.
@st85100 You must run in the B10 to close out games and you’re correct it will help Dylan. I could see it now Dylan in play action mode bombs away. Protect him give him time to throw and Huskers will be on their way. What do you say sounds good right. GBR !!!!
Colin cowher just said on his broadcast that Fox executives are anticipating Big 10 viewership going up 15 to 18% next year because of the addition of the California West Coast crew. Looking forward to it
Yes, we discovered that and should have known. Spent a few minutes apologizing to all of Husker Nation in the next episode for that egregious error. Thank you for the correction.
I don't think you can win unless you throw it atleast 55 percent of the time. You have the QB finally. Still run the ball but throwing it down field this season. Modern football needs passing
Coach Ruhle won’t hesitate throwing on first down especially with those big play receivers. This offense with a little luck has the potential to be special if everything falls into place…..GBR !!!

Thanks Colton.
I think for the iowa game, we should use a corncob for the football...

Modern football needs passing to win
Plus the QB will be elite
I think the combo of Emmet Johnson and Dowdel may surprise us at running back

The three unknown issues that could derail this season.
1. Marcus Satterfield 's play calling.
2. No FG kicker
3. #69 staying on the bench.
Believe me Rhule won’t let Satterfield loose for to long He will take the headsets from him.

Yes sir if you want to win you pass

Not really Michigan just won a championship from running
So the pitzer ranch has cutting and he got a roping horse .. Ericson Nebraskais amazing..
451 is a roping horse. Not that there's anything wrong with race horses but cowboys don't roll like that.
Oh boy… looks like we are gonna have to discuss this again and correct the mistake. Thank you for providing clarity.
sorry that's 415...
You are underestimating Rahmir Johnson!!!!
No way Rahmir is a Jersey boy. The kid is nice !!! If he stays healthy we’re in business ….
Start with Dorthy Red , Dorthy Rooster

@jesusrivera743 Sounds great! Go Big Red!

Probably will but I never listen to him
Its a roping horse, not race horse. It will live in Western Wyoming, but probably board him here so he can practice.

Hopefully the ‘air raid’ fans are disappointed because we run the damn ball. If we don’t, the QB will be constantly be blitzed.
No one is talking about air raid offense but they know you have to be good at both in modern college football.
There is a different between "Air Raid" and having a high percentage of throws. The days of Just running the ball all game are over.
In B10 an effective running game is needed to close out games. It will definitely help Dylan in play action and keep him on his feet.
Coach Ruhle won’t hesitate throwing on first down especially with those big play receivers. This offense with a little luck has the potential to be special if everything falls into place…..GBR !!!
If you want to win you need to pass atleast 55 percent of the time. This is how football is played now. Nebraska has the QB now too
This will be a up tempo run and gun offense the 90s is done move forward.
