Well done Rick. Lex must be stoked that he actually got his name on the Guiness records site, and his attempt at explaining how a turbo works made my day. That thing has such a sweet exhaust note. Nice to see at 10:34 that the Harley engine still shakes you to bits just like it was still on the bike it came from. 😀
Thanks a lot! Yes, it’s so hard to ride with such a wide rear axle 🤣 needs some fine tuning, and someone like The Rock to ride it 💪 Thanks for watching and for your support!
Thanks Adam, we appreciate the support. Was great to get this one in the bag, very cool to have Lex’s name on a record with mine too. On to the next one now 👍🏽
Very cool, im almost done with a 2nd generation Hayabusa turbo drift trike. Got it from an insurance buy out and decided to trike it for fun. Ive got dyno sheets at 416hp before the bike was wrecked. Im sure it will lose some being reconfigured into a trike. I had no idea there was a record for a drift trike, very cool. Im hoping to have it done by summer and make 400hp. My buddy who wrecked the bike had just sunk lots of money into it before the accident. He assures me its got even more in it. Ive built it to drift. However, I dont feel like it fits the drift trike platform like yours does. Anyways, great job, I really like the build.
How does the record work? what prevents someone installing a stock Hayabusa engine and beat the record? keep an eye on the intake air temp because that intercooler is tiny, my old 150hp car had a intercooler that was 3 times the size and it still heated up.
Exactly what I was thinking.. plenty of stock engines put down more power than this.. If a cool sounding v-twin is what you are after the ktm super Duke puts out 120kw.. Shaping a turbo on a honda vtx1800 will put out almost double this 'world record'...
@@blahblahblahlunch yep, but no one has done that at this point. A normal powered drift trike would be around 6ph. This project started after we purchased a burnt out Harley brought it home and started making it into something. We didn’t set out to break a world record initially, if we started out to build something with the most power we may have taken a different path….
Hi Simon, thanks mate. We aren’t selling the shirts just yet, but might do a small run now that we have the record, keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram where you can click through to our store 👍🏽
Cool trike and congrats on the world record.... Will you be getting a pro driver to give it a good rip in a future video? I'd love to see what that thing can do on a track!
Hey mate, thanks for watching. We are planning a video with it now. I think I’ll ride it for this one, would love to get someone else to ride it at some point 👍🏽 Thanks, Rick.
@@HellBentGarageI will be looking forward to that.... Can't wait to see your kids face when his dad comes drifting past him on the thing you built together! -I grew up working with my dad aswel. Hey mate, thanks for watching! I think we might have a couple of hats left in our store, you can click through to it from my Instagram or Facebook page (Rick Kelly) 👍🏽
Thank you. Was fun working with Lex on this one, and cool to share the record with him. I don’t have any hoodies at the moment. We have a small store that you can access via my Facebook or Instagram, keep an eye out there 👍🏽
Only the right front is backwards. The forks are off the bike that was crashed and were very badly bent. They don’t slide so smoothly, it works better this way, but still leaks a bit 🤣
Garrett Australia supported us with a Turbo, and Nick Trask and his team were keen to support the project and have been great. I couldn’t recommend Nick and his products enough, they produce awesome gear.

Great work Lex and Rick, a really great Father and Son moment!
Thank you! We enjoyed the build, and appreciate you watching 👍🏽
Well done team, it's great to see Lex so involved in the build, you are setting him up for success in the future. Great work you should be very proud.
Hi Craig,
Thanks very much for watching and for your kind message. We appreciate it! It was pretty cool to share this with Lex. All the best 👍🏽
I have been waiting for this moment, it's nice to see it with a compressor! 😉

Because a Hayabusa wouldn’t be as cool 😎 😂

Awesome build! How well does the flake floor do against welding and stuff
Hey mate, thanks for watching! The polished concrete floor has been epic. There is a wax coating that tends to protect it 👍🏽
Great work gents !! 👏👏👏👏👏😝😝🥳

Great work the young fella has the taste now world record holder.

It’d be a handful! As is! But still Gap the ring’s and put both springs in the wastegate 120kw ye ha!
Sounds like a plan! 😰
That's cool you an your son project you guys have any hell bent hoodies

Thats an awesome end results! Ps CL was robbed in 06😂
Can we get a shed tour plz
Yes, I need to do an updated shed tour for sure 👍🏽
Hows the rc car rebuild
A bit slowly at the moment. I borrowed the turbines to make our jet powered Esky 🤣. Need to get stuck back into it now 👍🏽
I'm from the United States and how much horsepower is 90 kilowatts or what ever the Dyno said
Hi Luke, it works out to about 140HP 👍🏽
@@HellBentGarage okay wow that's pretty good and thank you for your answer keep up the good work
i get it now
you have to put a turbo on a hardly to make it spin
Ok
When your next video
the bottom of the fork legs are 180 out lol

96.4kw =130hp if some people want to know in Hp language
