Ruko _themself, the character_ is the one of ambiguous gender and 90-10 ratio of male and female. Not the voice. The reason her female bank can hit low notes is because the VP recorded a pitch of the bank at a low pitch.

This makes the pitches in the string change in between mooras. This is a more chest-voice with a belt~ish end. Recorded with 3 pitches. - 欲音ルコ♀れんたんじゅつ音源Ver.1.00 - RentanJutsu Sound Source, connected single sounds on stable pitch. It has 6 tones and is a deep solid chest voice, and falsetto~ish ending.

And now, after informing some of the visitors about Yokune Ruko libraries, I have to say I just loved how you tuned Ruko on this song! The ending was a cool addition to the mood of the song (I noticed you did something like that on Yuudachi no Ribbon and I liked that). It gives a small, yet disctintive twist on your cover. The mixing is well done, really nice balance of effects and volumes. GJ!
hehe no problem at all! Some people may misunderstand the terms of these banks and usually call them just "multipitch CV" and "Kire VCV" to make things simple, yet a lot of people totally miss the fact that the libraries are named after the techniques used on them.

I love Ruko because her voice bank is 90% male and 10% female so she can hit the really low notes unlike most of the other female UTAUloids. xP

That's not how it works, Ruko just has two different voice banks. It's not like they mixed male and female.
