this is peak engineering.

Your braincells cost money.
And I lost a lot because of MRT
If hell had an accurate representation it would be playing iracing on this setup.
bro casually built a functioning racing setup , awesome dude !
Aa a fellow bootlegger, I approve. I have actual equipment lol. But, I use my wheel as a throttle in flightsim, and I bought a 5$ broken stick back in 2019 and cut the spring, replaced the sensor with an idential one I found in another broken flightsim thing I had (it literally just plugged in), and to this day, I just use rubber bands for the return to center action.
For the longest time too, I had been using a bottlecap and a hair tie to keep the wire in my PS4 controller.
Over the years I can remember tinkering around with all sorts of crap for gaming, but I can't even remember half of what I did.
Being poor, actually gives you a surprising amount to do, as it turns out.
How the fuck does this video not have more views, this is peak TH-cam engineering and very educated and intelligent humour. Awesome video
Back when I started sim racing, I used to try and build my own steering wheel and it worked for a while until I got fed up with the wheel not recalibrating to the centre. What you did with the programming honestly would've made me happy back then. The pedals were quite cool to see since you added springs while I just placed my keyboard on the floor and just the keys with my bare foot. I tried making a shifter but I couldn't find a way to implement it smoothly and abandoned the idea. After a while, I finally got myself a T300RS and the quality is definitely better and it was definitely worth it. Low budget sim racing builds will always have a place in my heart
"I can't explain it, I'm driving better while drunk." Is the realest quote ever.
i’ve done this before, i have a theoretical solution for the misalignment of the wheel, instead of using an optical mouse you could use a trackball mouse because it makes physical contact with the pipe. Or you could go a more expensive and complicated route and get a rotary encoder or potentiometer and connect it to an arduino board. For the Caster return u can connect a spring to the pipe. so when u turn it either way it’s gonna recenter, the stiffer the spring the faster it returns. keep it up
those are actually great ideas tysm for the suggestions! i've seen a couple others suggest arduino so I'm definitely gonna check it out 👍
@Tako_Balls if you want to use a arduino, use a leonardo or pro micro because they have native hid support (hid is the way mouses keyboards and controllers)
but if youre going to use a arduino you can also make it use analog controls (like a wheel)
"You tell me where we start,
where we going,
where we going afterwards,
i'll give you five minutes when we get there.
Anything happens in that five minutes and i'm yours no matter what,
anything happens a minute either side of that and you're on your own.
I don't sit in while you're running it down,
I don't carry a gun, i drive!"
the editing is actually crazy good nice video bro
Bro your editing is so cursed, it’s incredibly good.
Bro you got me dying 💀
This is peak level content editing, loved the entire video!
lmao That jerma jumpscare made me spill water all over.
i actually love this video so much the comedy is peak, and i wonder why this doesnt have millions of views
bruh this guy is on another league sorry for breathing the same air as you u will be famous soon man keep up :)
Bro I just have to say that you have finally found the words none of us have been able to put together. The age old question all of us get "why do you do this? why don't you do it for real?" Your answer was fucking mint xD
i love that ur playing mrt one of my fav roblox games lol ( because i spent too much time on it)
i thought ur gonna rack and pinion the mouse, but seeing what you did youre clearly universes ahead of my puny 5minutecraft brain, hats off to you
Peak editing, commentary, and everything else 😂
best set up ive seen
this is incredible bro😭😭😭 pls keep ts up
he looks like tim henson if tim henson decided he didnt want tattoos
idk if its because i'm watching this at 2am or what, but this was freaking hilarious
ngl this is very creative
Hilarious bro 😭😭😭😭
Great video! A while back I made my own handbrake from a micro switch from an old microwave and a pcb board from an old keyboard. I soldered it together and mapped the button to a key on the keyboard and assembled it on a handbrake i bought from online for 15. It worked great for a few months but proved un reliable as i had to re-solder it multiple times. I recently bought a used usb handbrake. Im planning on making a sequential shifter with the same switches and my old handbrake. Im using an arcade usb encoder this time instead of a pcb board and its proving to be much better. If you plan on making a 3rd DIY sim setup I would highly recommend doing this way.
If anyone wants to get into sim racing I would really recommend used. I bought my sim setup which included a Thrusmaster T300RS, T8HA shifter, T3PA pedals and a sim cockpit for 350. Also I got a triple monitor setup for free just because someone was going to throw it out anyways. So you can get some good deals if you look. Loved the video Asian Micheal Reeves. I would post the links i used to build the handbrake and shifter but youtube isn't letting me post the link or title.
When your part moves, use plugs on PCBs instead of soldering wires to them. Wire wears out VERY quickly at solder joints. Also flux paste. Lots of flux.
this got in my reccomended, peak simracing rig right there.
how it only has a thousand views? I watched the whole video and had a great time, keep it up and you will go far!
Midnight racing Tokyo mentioned🗣️🔥🔥🔥
no way its the funny roblox racing game by the devs of the gem!!111!!! (seriously great video, keep it up. im sure youll pop off in the future with your unique editing style)
Keep it up bro this is peak content 🙏🙏 ngl I'd do this if I had a smidge of intelligence but imma just buy a g29 lmao
Honestly, like no shit. I think these DIY racing setups are much much more impressive than those 1000$+ setups. It requires more skill to do something like that than building a 1000$ setup.
Good job ball man
This is one of the videos of all time
I throught you had atleast 1mil, you underated all love man.
10/10 video, passion, fun, creativity, you have a new follower sir
Very Well done!!!🎉
Bro is really underrated
yeah dude. your channel is gonna be huge. first time watching. this was great!!
bro you're gonna grow hell if you keep up the memes and quality
Great video and funny too! I also have a sim driving setup mostly made out of cardboard. But i suggest you use cardboard for the steering wheel, it might be a little harder to make but it will feel better and more durable
HOPES AND DREAMS MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️
i love that you are watching isaccwhy (im assuming) while making a driving sim that looks like a IED
found this randomly, great content and big props cuz those wheels set ups are stupid expensive for a good one
I will never complain about my setup again after seeing this
Mom can we buy a sim racing setup?
Mom: we already have a setup
The setup at home:

most entertaining video I've watched in a while you deserve way more attention
This guy deserves more subs, this is a great video
will be using this method to make my very own handbrake
This is perfection. Next is "building a fully working porsche 911 that runs on hopes and dreams"
Gonna make a flight sim rig using Lego Technic now, thanks for the idea!
bro is underrated
Good Job my guy, you are fucking underrated.
Somebody get this man a case of beers and car keys!
Its a funky looking yeeyee ahh setup but this is nasa engineering😂
thats so smart! actually
Hope and dream indeed.
The funny thing is, with about this much effort and about 400 bucks you could buy a used wheel, pedal, and shifter setup off eBay, buy a car seat from a junkyard, and you build a wood frame for it, you have a really good budget setup for fairly cheap.
Yo the plarail set stering wheal is crazy man
I just found your channel and your editing is lowkey hilarious I can tell a lot of effort got put into this video. keep it up
Props to someone actually using MR:T as footage.
underated youtuber frfr
This was an amazing video im surprised by your creativity
As a MRT player, this video is literally the banter we get up to.

Damn bro this genius, instead of buying a cheap wheel I'll just buy 15 keyboards and destroy everything in my house, thanks for the tips!
naisu! now do the revamp with pvc tubes for rigidity and Arduino 😂
if you ever get a 3d printer you could probably fix most of these problems
bro is gonna steal all the girls with this setup, leave some for the rest man T^T
i was expecting controllers triggers for analog control but still, amazing dedication
buzzum, hell yeah.
MRT finally getting recognition 😭🙏
fine, subscribed.
This is impressive and I’m not trying to discredit you but you can get a really good used entry level for like 70 bucks. That’s definitely worth it in my opinion
Heh, i made one 2 years ago.
Everything was made out of lego and wheel used a mouse, pedals used a controller and shifter + handbrake used a keyboard.
Surprisingly it was not as flimsy a tou might think, it didn't even brake when i let my friend drive with it.
MRT is wild, I loved racing the r-34 with the foxbody. It's ashame that they nerfed it again 😢
I remember doing the steering wheel with cardboard and one of those wheel covers I got from like autozone. Also a fellow MR:T enjoyer I see.
underrated video
The design is very human
very cool
Peak engineering
Banger video dude
Peak youtube engineering. Next you should make a flight sim.
For sure!! That be so cool!!!!

That’s so much easier
Pretty sure someone already did with lego and a mouse
