My point is that the size of the Danish market makes it hard to make it onto the international market, as even massive success in Denmark will leave you with less resources than an average artist in the US.
There's also the fact that everyone's eyes is on the US market, so you're much more likely to be noticed if you have some level of succes on the US market.
