Your collection is absolutely amazing. I don't think that there is any Mego collector who wouldn't be envious of your collection. Thanks so much for sharing.

Boy can I relate to so much you said here about your collecting and room. I wish I had the ability to get out of my comfort zone and share more but I still struggle with that. Instagram is as close as I can get, I rotate items out of boxes and dream of a room with built in glass cabinets wall to wall...a good friend of mine is about ready to pull the trigger on such a dream. Anyway, I just wanted to comment here again and say “Bravo” and thanks for sharing! Clearly you are not bragging and only sharing- the sign of a true collector!👍

Thank you for sharing. Absolutely amazing collection. As a child of the 70's, I remember seeing so much of this in stores. Over time, my mind began questioning whether they actually existed. It was awesome to see these pieces. What a time to be a child! Man, today's toys are nothing like this- not the width or breadth of choices or toy lines! Thanks again for preserving these.

Your collection is ridiculously awesome!! As a fellow toy collector, I can definitely relate to what you said about tight space and knocking things over. For me, the highlight of your collection has to be that custom '70s live action TV series Spider-Man figure! I was (and still am) a big fan of that show, so, it's really cool to see that piece as part of your collection. Thanks for sharing, Sir. Take care and be safe during these crazy times.

I love the way you're not a mint on card collector and whenever you get carded figures that worth keeping on card, you take the trouble of getting for each a loose version for toy enyoiment.

  • @seventiesfan5980
    @seventiesfan5980 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

What more can I say? Your room looks a lot like mine, only you have a lot of mint in box items.
I take EVERYTHING out of the package and use it. I've photographed many of my action figures in action poses in their play sets. That's what makes this hobby so much fun!
By the way, Brian, I finally got a Rahan figure last month. Don't ask me what I paid for it.

Thanks for the amazing tour! You’ve got an awesome collection to be proud of! Growing up
In the early 70s I had all the Mego, Big Jim, Bionic Man, Star Wars figures, etc. But being a kid, of course I played with them and most were lost when I moved from Detroit to Los Angeles in 1976. Keep following your passion and making fun videos! Stay safe! (FYI - my favorites were the Planet of the Apes & Star Trek Megos).

Absolutely loved the room tour. I do agree that if you have it, it should be on display to enjoy. I have quite a few mip GI Joe adventure team pieces as well as some boxed and carded megos on display. I also have a comic collection from the 60's and 70's that just sit in boxes and don't give near as much joy to own, but I've owned them since the mid 70's and collected with my dad so I can't part with them.

Hey ! Pretty darn awesome collection of vintage toys ... I'm 53 and had many of the items on your display shelf's .... One thing I did not see ... And I was looking pretty close was the "Major Matt Mason- Mattel's man in space" collection .... Pretty cool looking bendable astronaut toys .... Different color space suits .... Tons of assessories .... Even a moon base play set .... Maybe it just wasn't your thing ? But it would be a great addition to your collection !!

70s toys weren't as polished or well marketed as 80s toys, but for those of us that were kids during that time they are the absolute best toys. I especially love those carded Micronauts aliens and the jumbo machinder Grendizer. Was that Rocket Robin Hood a production piece or a custom?

I discovered something which I had as a kid and I forgot! I would love to see a quick review/history on this. Because I have no idea which line that is and how I got it. It is "the intruder" (10:30). You should know I am born ('72) and raised in Germany. A lot of the stuff which is not Star wars or super heroes never made it to Germany! So I am not sure how I got this figure (and why I lost it). Can you do this? Anyone else interested in the background of this item? Loved your tour so much! An admirable collection you have there sir!☺

Really enjoy the Black Hole, Battlestar Galactica and Micronauts figures especially the carded aliens!!! Wow, carded aliens!!!! I only have the dark green Brain Antron and I will have all the aliens loose.👍😁
I sold all my carded vintage actions figures last year! Had a carded Black Hole STAR, Battlestar Galactica Gold Cylon, and others from both series. To be honest I was scared to death of the bubbles falling off!😳
Question: Do you display all your KO’s together or separate with each theme? Thanks for sharing

I want a camo coat with a super big zipper.
For toy clothes, they couldn't actually make zippers small enough to be in scale. So the figures of course have unnaturally huge zippers but also with the idea of making these character toys as real as possible within child's/target consumer's mind. It was impossible to scale down at the time but pretty easy to scale up these days. So, I would like a camo coat with a ridiculously large zipper.^^

It looks to be in good shape. Saw your Mystery Man video. I would also love to know who he is. I also have one in a "baggie" and one loose figure. In your video, is that the same Jet Jungle that you had on the shelf?
I finally got a JJ. It took me years to get one. Came directly from South Africa. Had been in a cabinet for 43 years!!! As a kid, in South Africa, I remember buying a JJ. I was also a member of the JJ fan club and used to listen to all of the JJ radio serials on the radio. When we came back to England, some years later I sold all of my figures, including JJ!!! I firmly believe that the one I sold, was the one that later turned up at a flea market, and was bought by Jane ( as featured on the Mego Museum) and finished up being owned by a well-known member of the Mego community, who has now I understand sold it on. The reason I say this is because of the OK Bazarr 99c price sticker, which is still on the box. I bought my original one from OK Bazaar.
From what I have found on the web, there must only be a handful left out there. How did you come by yours?

Awesome share. Pulsar, he's such a square-jawed show off, lol. I dug the El Hombre Nuclear you briefly pan by, it's not the full-sized version from Lili Ledy, what's the story on that boxed figure? Epic collection.

It's from Peru, an 8" version on a Mego body by a company called BASA.

Thanks man, UV can fade and or destroy the toys themselves. It's best not to store vintage toys where tons of sunlight pours in.
