Awesome video! Would have been nice if you went into detail about the closeup filter, so as to know how much more closer one can get with their lens. :)

The diffuser with flash looks interesting 🤔 can you expand on it a little more. How do you make it, or is it a commercial product? Thanks!

I found one on amazon that looks similar. I searched "Flash Lens Diffuser Reflector".

I have the same exact diffuser (and lens). it's from Amazon and it folds up pretty nicely. Appox $20-25

Do you have a video of how to use a rail for macro focus? Also that diffuser on the lens did you make it? Thanks

    Hello Stefan,
    Thanks for the great video!
Can you share the brand and model of the white diffuser, the one you used for your handheld setup ?
I know that the material of the cloth matters and the ones for 2$ on aliexpress are maybe not good enough.

Great video Stefan, are you going with Sony 90mm macro for OSS or Laowa 90mm for 2:1 magnification

Hi! Thank you for your video. it's very useful. Please - what is mounted on the top of your lens? And 2nd question. If I already have macro lens just like yours - do I need to get a close up filter? Thanks in advace

Great tutorial Stefan! Cheers! What do you think of the Sigma 105mm compared to Sony 90mm?

My camera has "Focus Bracketing". That is, each time the shutter button is pressed, the camera takes a series of photos, varying focus with each shot. The number of shots, the amount of focus changes with each shot, and the interval between shots can be selected. My question is:
With this capability/function present on my camera, is there any additional advantage(s) to purchasing and using a Macro Rail as shown in your video?

You are using the diffusor the wrong way!!! If you place it a bit closer to the lenses end and then tilt it above the subject by using your fingers to drag the bottom part towards you, you´ll get a much more diffused ligth without blownout highlights and with absolute no ugly shadows. The diffusor shall always be close to the subject and a bit away from the flash so it (the flash) can lighten up the whole area of the diffusor. Try it both ways and you can compare and see a huge difference, especially on shiny glossy parts of the subject.
