Damn. People usually talk bad things about Vince Russo, but whatever they think, seems like Russo makes a lot of sense here. Genuine podcast. This is the dude guy that should take major credit for the WWE Attitude era; the era that I really liked. The Ruthless Agression Era (the era WITHOUT Russo) had some real disturbing things. The Attitude era was more realistic. The only thing is that Russo didn't belong in WCW. WCW was supposed to be the alternative to WWF, but when Russo came in, it seemed like WCW was becoming more like WWF.
Russo is right. McMahon screwed McMahon when he left an NDA on a table while he lost control of WWE to Endeavour. I think the new executives saw a way to cut McMahon out entirely and not paying the NDA was the checkmate they needed. I can’t say I feel sorry for McMahon because he screwed over and lied to his talent for decades. I never forgave him for what he did to the Hart family.
