THIS
Now, there's an idea I wholy support!
YES!
Yes big follower of both would love to see a collab
Hell yeah!!
Tom I love this new format - taxi drivers are the best tour guides for London so this sort of content is really fresh (like the sandwiches!)
The Italian place seemed the best value and the ingredients looked amazing.. also made with love ..that would be my go to place 🎯
Ah 2023 a lovely wet summer
Enjoyed watching but 11 pounds for a sandwich - London sure is expensive.
From Bristol here. We pay £11 for a independent shop sandwich
It is ouchy but borough market is more or less a tourist spot, as is Notting Hill and well the City is the City. I did actually work at London Bridge 4.5-5 years ago and £8-9 probably would have been the going rate then.
Up north we are surprised when Londoners come up here and are amazed you can get a pint and fish & chips for under a tenner.
I do the same job as him and wouldn’t dream of paying £11 for a sandwich
A friend of mine paid £15 in Manchester many years ago.
Tom. How about doing a tour of iconic movie locations in London.
I like this idea.
I'd definitely watch that.
Hello Tom, I am the kid Nathan that you called in Nando’s remember me? I’ve been watching since like you have been doing your shifts!I can tell you I am on of your biggest fans!😊
Hey mate! Your dad is a legend! Great to meet you and him 😊
thank you so much!
Great to see Camisa - absolute hallmark of classic Soho!
Thanks for this, Tom, really appreciate you showing us some of the eateries. I've saved Camisa and Paul Rothe & Son onto my 'want to go' list on Google Maps for the next time I'm there! Can't wait to try it out myself.
I'm new to your channel, I've been binge watching a lot in the past few days, I love it.
Really enjoy these videos, something a bit different from the life in the cab videos. Doing a great job Tom!
Well now I’m hungry! Awesome video Tom, adding these to my ever growing list of places to try when I venture down to London 😀
If your in the area of CoL I highly recommend Porterford Butchers on Watling Street. It's minute or so walk from St. Paul's
Great video, Tom. Really interesting selection and very good, fluent and relaxed commentary. Thanks.
These are the best type of videos. These best different food types in London. Keep em coming
Used to buy lunch from Camisa & Sons in the 80's when Gabi ran it and I worked just across the road on Wardour Street. Best Italian deli and food store in London. Good too see it hasn't changed. 👍
£11 quid it reminds me of "We saw you coming"
Nice little video, didn’t know any of those places before I saw it 👏
Great video, all places I haven’t heard of as a Londoner all my life! Amazing cinematography too
I Comisa was far and away the best quality and value for money. 7 pound for fresh sliced Parma ham and fresh mozzarella in London?. Couldn't buy that here for $15. I'm Italian and thats where I'd be.
Great video quality and filming , getting a lot better
Great video! I always go to Dilieto on Fleet Street for my sandwiches, amazing!
Will have to try, looks very popular and been there for a long time!
Broadcast television production levels. Excellently put together.
Loving this type of content Tom. Paul Rothe & Son looked a proper gaff. My type of place and sandwiches. Next time I’m up in the big smoke, I must pay them a visit. For central London, I thought it was quite reasonably priced for a hand made deli sandwich too.
£11 for a sandwich ! eeeekkk ! happy to live in the north east, can get a lovely italian deli sandwich and get change from a fiver
I hate to sound like a sycophant but your videos are some of the best on YT, Tom. We're going to be in London very soon and now I am obsessed with having a sandwich. I had a mortadella sandwich at Borough Market last year that I still dream about. Thanks for this video.
Thank You Tom .
London is Really A Culture and Aristocracy of British Greatness.
Love Borough Markets. We went there for dinner on your recommendation after our London tour with you! Hope you're well!
Hello from the other London. 🇨🇦 Thanks for taking us along for your work and adventures. 😊
Waves hi to you up in "fake London"! (been watching too much Not Just Bikes)
The deli in soho is lovely and well priced. It’s the only one I’ve been to on this list but it’s so so so good
Yay, a new TTTD video on a Saturday night!!!
Who ever is doing the camera work is quite good
Interesting vídeo The sandwiches look nice , but the prices seem extremly expensive! , Here in my very touristy home city in Brazil, two people could have a very good lunch including desert and drinks for equivalente.
Yes you have to be careful in London to get good prices
Fantastic. Need a good pub food review next Tom!
very good video Tom now i need to go to these places!
Great vid, like it a lot. More like this please
Again an enjoyable food video 👌🏻
Great video! Two other places I would recommend is Chequers in Covent Garden and Johnny's Schnitzel near Angel.
Totally watchable - keep it up buddy. I am almost itching for a ride in the back of your cab, almost, you are not quite at legendary status yet hahahaha
Great content. Cheers from Hong Kong
Would highly recommend Max's Sandwich shop near Crouch Hill Station. Best sandwich I ever had.
Great video Tom. Made me laugh that egg and anchovy (sounds horrendous to me) was hotly anticipated but cucumber is the hill you're going to die on!
Tom Paul Roth’s is the best place to go. Had many breakfast sandwiches from there when in town! Love that it was included!
I need to visit London sometime. It's been on my bucket list for a while
GREAT video,just subscribed.
Try Max’s Sandwiches in Stroud Green. Another level
Do some more like this brother 💙
Yes Tom absolutely LOVE your food videos showing us all your favourite gems in London for a tasty lunch - I'm definitely going to check out "I Camisa" in Soho on a rainy day this autumn. p.s Joey Bone aka JoeLeTaxi ain't got nothing on you when it comes to food reviews mate! 😂
the Italian sandwich is truly cracking. Next time in town, Imma going there. Close your eyes, take a bite & you'll imagine you're in Sorrento!
It looks amazing
top tier stuff as always, Tom
One addition to try - Max's sandwich shop!
Had him in the cab once, wanted to try for years but odd opening hours
Mentioned it before dilieto on Fleet Street very decent but for some reason you won’t show it. And you won’t be ripped off on price !
Cool vid. I can see a new Tom the Taxi Man London Food Vids 😉
Will definitely be going to a sandwich shop next time I'm in London
£11 for a sandwich, why aye man I'm glad I'm not a cockney!
Egg and anchovies is the perfect sandwich for taking on the train or flight home.
You'll enjoy a lovely sandwich and get lots of berth - sounds like a win-win to me! 😅
Italian sandwich place on west smithfield next to tescos, cafe de livio. Amazing food. Still haven't found one that comes close to this. And reasonable too. But to be honest I've started making my own pack lunch and only eat out maybe once a week. Spending on average £5 at 5x a week is nearly £1500 a year! Too expensive a luxury to afford, a nice treat once in a while.
Woo that’s a hard choice to pick . But is it just me that noticed that lady in the Italian sandwich shop with the builders bum when she bent over 😂😂😂. As always great video Sir
Years ago i used to work at JB&C in Wigmore Street ...and coming out of there and turning right up to the next turning i think...used to be a great Italian sandwich shop /deli....family run just round that corner....used to spend my luncheon vouchers in there....great sandwiches and food....i wonder if it is still there???
Damn, might have to try that italian one as I've walked past it a few times to poppies thinking it was just an italian food shop. I didn't know they did sandwiches
I Camisa is the best. Used to live off those when I worked in soho. Lovely stuff.
Two great sandwich/deli options in the City are Coopers on Fetter Lane and Dilieto on Fleet Street
I enjoyed your sandwich tour
Paul roth is goated!! best lunch break spot
I'll have to buy some Kewpie mayo. Always see it in the supermarket and was curious what it was.
F*** me 11 quid for a sandwich. Either I'm getting old or London's getting more expensive. Probably both.
Mad money.
Borough is tourist central, more usual 6 to 8 quid for market lunch (still not cheap!)
Tom mate , would be nice if you can make a vídeo about the Green Huts. Keep up the good work .
He did one ages ago
3 and 4 are in range of my lunchtime walks. Need to give them a go.
Did the Italian one today. It doesn’t even look like a sandwich shop, just like a small Italian supermarket. Same sandwich Tom got, £8 without the TH-cam discount.
Going to try the 4th place next week, nearer to the office.
Good old chef @ 1.59 - 2.14 not using gloves and the classic inside out apron dirty from the day before 😂😂😂😂😂
The quality of these videos >>>>
As a taxi driver do you have opportunity to have the best London lunch break ever? The food market of Leather Lane near Chancery Lane and Farringdton. It's open week days only 12:00 to 14:00 but food from most of the stalls is so tasty and not that expensive
Used to work in Fetter Lane, would pop over there on my lunch break 🙌🏻 great suggestion
@@TomtheTaxiDriver Tom why did you blur out that woman who was making your sandwich at 5:07 ? what was the reason for it , just curious as seemed abit odd
Hi Tom! Did you get a new leather steering wheel in the taxi? Do you talk about this/show it in any videos or would you be able to, please?
Hey Tom, great stuff, these choices look top. Have you been following the Food Tours/Wars content on Insider Food channel?
Also yeah, that gherkin line 💀
11£ for a sandwich, I thought things were expensive here in Ireland, that’s steep 🇮🇪
You must try the salt beef sandwich at 21 grams in Fulham, Tom. Absolutely brilliant with great coffee there too!
I was going to suggest salt beef on Rye and mustard I know it’s old school but if something not broken don’t fix it.
Something about sandwiches man. They are so versatile. They can range from many different flavors and combinations. I aim to one day have my own shop and serve quality sandwiches.
It's in the middle of the night, and I really should be sleeping, but this made me really hungry (again).
Bloody great vidiyo. bravo. you drive around a lot eh, tastes good to me!
You are as good a food reviewer as you are a cabbie, Tom😁👏. All those sandwiches looked fantastic.
So where they over a series of days??Or you got a large appetite??Loving the vlogs they are ace
Makes me feel terrible living in a small city that has maybe 20 local sandwich shops and the rest are just franchises. My favourite one was shut down due to a massive fire nearby closing the area then covid right after. My mouth is watering just thinking about their spicy beef panini.
Meal deal and huel specialist like myself may try some of these places if one is having a good day in the cab 😂
Huel is Soylent Green
@@annother3350 ya it’s great.
Birley's at Walbrook is nice too, also for breakfast.
Max's sandwich shop should be in the running.
He has weird opening hours though. I want a sandwich for lunch
@@TomtheTaxiDriver him and his sandwiches are worth the odd times (and the shlep to North London)
As a non Londoner can you recommend a decent sandwich shop around Battersea ?
Wow, didn't know Camisa made sandwiches to order, on my bucket list
Tfp canteen. Great sannies. Cheap too!
Very good video 😊
There is nothing like eating in peace.
Awesome video, I'd love to see more of these "tour-style" videos.
I do have one question: What happened to the green guide badge you used to wear together with the medallion?
Can you do some places near clapham Junction, I need some places to try
Loves a sandwich this cabbie does 😂
I dunno if you’ve covered it already but you should do a video on Porterfords butchers in the City.
I used to go there for lunch. It was banging
Also a very strong contender 💪🏻
@@TomtheTaxiDriver my personal recommendations are the Philly Cheese steak (not a proper cheese steak but still good), chicken and bacon baguette and also the large Cumberland Sausage
You feel honoured to eat a sandwich in London 😂😂🫣
Love Dom's subs
Chequers just off the Strand!
Try Delizie D’Italia in Pimlico
been to doms subs, absolutely impeccable.
Tom - another smash --- shame your shifts start later as I would love to see a "best London breakfast" from you - keep on keepin' on...
You should’ve tried the Vegemite at hot soups
Marylebone for me - although I did like the packaging used in Notting Hill.
