I don't claim to know everything, but I do know that a song should have a definite beginning and end. Most drummers that I've seen on youtube playing this song, just play a bunch of unnecessary (although great sounding) licks through out the song, but never have a beginning and end (no build up to a big finish). You are the only one that I've found that actually ends the song on the high that it should end on. Much respect for keeping such a great song musical and not a drum clinic on the sly. Awesome!
Every church I've been in drummer is better then this. Check out Mr. NATHANIEL TOWNSLEY. , several other utube praise drummers on here world renowned. Check them out. .....
Holy Ghost Fire!! Excellent brother. Love your tom grooves. They need to get you up to Drumeo to do a worship drums tutorial on learning songs and how to flow.
I've learned a good bit just from listening to you play and it's helped a lot. There is this one beat you do sometimes and I love it. I don't know if you have a name for it but it's like a Latin groove. I think you did it on the bridge of "In Jesus Name". I've used a beat similar a few times and it really fits in some songs. Thanks for giving me some different drum beats and ideas that fit into different songs!

We record all the channel from our front of house board and I mix the session in Logic.
