I love the way Naamah forces you to learn the mechanics of the game. You went in there with 3/4 of the party weak to Mudo, and she spams Mudo, gets extra turns, and wrecks face. No amount of grinding fixes that. You have to just learn, and respond to, the mechanics of the game. She's the Matador of Vengeance. (there's a way you can change your character's affinities to no longer be weak to dark, too. Check Apotheosis in the Realm of Shadows.)
Ya SMT has a learning curve and I’m making it worse by trying to brute force things 😭 but the tips everyone is giving is helping me learn esp you telling me I can change my weakness cause I didn’t even know that’s a thing 😩 but I appreciate it lots and it’ll help me out a ton ❤️
@@Suhtired The trick is to think of it the same way you would with Pokemon types. Nobody goes into an Electric gym with a party filled with flying and water types. Same thing here. The trick is, you don't know what type of gym it is until you fight the boss at least once. The usual SMT formula for a big boss is to go in, get absolutely wrecked, but pay attention to how they wrecked you, and then go fuse/recruit a new team of demons to counter what they did. Until late-game where you have a super-army of crazy demons who can usually work in every circumstance. But you don't really have that option for the first 3/4 of the game.
I am enjoying these essentially stream VoDs posted the next day or so, because I can’t always either make it to stream, or watch all of stream for whatever reason, and being able to just watch them here on TH-cam is awesome.

Aogami tries to warn about an incoming boss. "Don't tell me what to do!" Totally doesn't read the warning. Proceeds to wiped out by Hydra. Yep, that's SMT in a nutshell. I believe "S-t" in Yoko's school name is an abbreviation for Saint.
One thing I recommend right now is changing Nahobinos Affinities to something else. Having weakness to curse/dark damage is brutal since you can get insta-killed, same goes for Bless/Light.
Remember to buy some spyglasses in the shop as they show strengths/weakness of enemies when used, and if you think Naamah is mommy waifu just wait until to see other mommy 'Cleopatra' 😍🤣

For your first journey in SMT, you are progressing well. Dying is part of the strategy. Use the first certainly lost fight to note the type of each skill the enemy is using, and try to build a party for the second fight that doesn’t have weaknesses. And Atlus really nailed the Demoness of Adult Content (Naamah)
A small tip, for peak efficiency, you want to hit a weakness first. Then on your flashing turn (1/2 turn) you should support with buffs or debuffs. Hit another weakness and repeat. Sometimes you don't have a choice but to use a full turn, but if you abuse the press turn system you could have 8 moves every round. I can give more tips if you want, or any specific questions.

i never once attended the stream, and have recently found the channel.... i am glad to see the evolution in this vod where at first it was facebashing as much as possible with the hydra but then the usage of buffs and debuffs ... i swear everyone who plays any SMT game eventually learns that buffing and debuffing is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge part of this game... tho still everytime i see her goes into the Omagatoki critical with low turn counts/icons... something inside me dies a little
I have a bad habit of trying to brute force my way through but I learned that you can’t do that in SMT 😩 And omg ya I really need to stop using the critical thing when I’m low on turns! I’m trying to be more mindful of how many turns I have cause I forget it’s there sometimes 😞
@@Suhtired Just think of the Turn Count Icons as a resource similar to MP and HP, that's what i do. i used to forget them a lot too, i cant wait to see how you tackle the rest of the game, now time to watch the new vid/vod

Your shorts keep popping up in my feed recently, so happy gaming! 8:17 Perhaps you've already figured this out by the point of my comment but, there is a Miracle called Knowledge of Tools that allow demon allies to use items. As the game progresses and more useful passive skills become available, you can ditch certain skills that'd have the same effect as items such as Elemental Gems and other Healing Items. To a certain extent, its almost like having two skill lists that everyone shares. Please use it well!
I'm gay but Kaneko (SMT Demon Design Artist) makes so many banger female demons 😩👌 Edit: Charge and Concentrate in SMTV and Vengeance (not other games in the series) are literal trash and should not be used due to inefficiency compared to just using skills twice, please don't use them.
Unfortunately for me i never got that exposure from her! Consider your self lucky! My luck was having knocked out both Feng Huang (?) that big bird flying about overhead and that Turtlesnake creature prior to! I fused grinded my butt off to get Feng Huang at level 22 up to level 23 and had Nahobino at 22 with "heavy hit" which i didnt realise until mid way! Feng Huang if scroll properly down has a cursed demon magick which i threw on her as i put Feng Huang as first in my line up! Mixed with "life drain" and hit with some Dark shield x3 carefully used! She was totally pissesd and eventually done in! Legion was my back up tank at end of line up level 21! Took a while but it was fun! Great video! Thank you!
Spyglasses is a must so you can try kill Tama the tear drop shape demon when you see one so it's better to get a demon in your party that has coverage in all weaknesses in the future you can unlock a miracle that lets your other demon use items, so you can buy elemen gem for them to use for enemies weaknesses,
"I'm happy this game didn't come out during No Nut November, that's all I'm saying." Yeah, funny story, the original version actually DID come out November 11th, 2021. Although, Naamah and the other Qadistu weren't in the original game so the risk wasn't as bad. There's another demon you might encounter in a sidequest later though, that's... certainly a contender.
SMT can definitely be a Dark Souls game at times. I remember the very first battle in Nocturne on Hard was basically a coin toss. If it crit then you lose and I think it had a skill with increased crit rate.. Oddly enough these games get easier the farther you get in some ways because of the OP skills and demons you can get.

@@SuhtiredOne big tip! in order to manage mana and do more damage check if the demon is compatible with certian abilities, for example the Angel you have has Zan -3 so he is doing the worst damage because he is not good with that type of abilities, if the ability has a + it is more effective and costs less mana the higher the number

SMT 3 Nocturne is by far the hardest and most difficult out of all the SMT series.

Vanilla Strange Journey is harder. Nocturne just has the hardest tutorial.

How'd you get Aramasa +2 so early on? Are there other ways to get +Phys other than Miracles?
I think I essence fused with Aogami Type-1 but I'm really new to SMT so I'm not really sure how all this works 😭

Shouldn't need to grind if she does the quests as she finds them (and those are more fun to watch anyway, and faster).
