Eric Jordan inspired me to become a Motion Designer. I started with Flash websites, then moved on to 3ds Max and After Effects. When I found out he used Cinema 4D, I tried it and instantly loved it. I still use Cinema 4D to this day!
Funny how Eric and Tony are indirectly responsible for shaping the careers of so many motion designers and artists-myself included-and they're just here chillin, talking to Joey. All of their work is GOATed, but the Club 01 LA intro has to be one of my favorites.
I remember listening to the ambient music for hours while working on flash stuff. You guys are my heros. Thank you for everything and thank you for sharing your story here on School of motion.
Would have loved to hear the mention of the impact of the german community on Flash sites. The Flashforum was huge back then and everything literally exploded when 'Der Bauer' launched his new site, I was an art director for '24-7 Media' back then briefly (their main competitor) before creating one of the first flash based feature film websites. It was 'The Red Baron' for Pixomondo VFX, their international breakthrough out of Frankfurt / Germany. Not online anymore unfortunately.
