How do Hong Kong-ers learn how to speak Chinese mandarin fluently? They all speak Chinese Cantonese, their TV shows are all in Cantonese too. I mean I know they learn Chinese mandarin in school. I'm just impressed that they can speak fluent Cantonese, mandarin & English. Of course Jackson can speak fluent Korean too which is remarkable.
I think Jackson is very different from ordinary Hong Kong people in that his language skills are so good. Though his parents were from mainland China they speak dialects at home and Jackson speaks English in school and possible Cantonese outside school. His Mandarin is acquired through communicating with Chinese friend and later hosting Chinese variety shows.
