    interesting idea to test the water spill 😁 maybe you can use a spray bottle to get an even coating on there to simulate humidity.

    hello Gen3D Tech
    First of all, thank you so much for the review. you've convinced me to buy this mousepad.
    Quick question: is it normal when I move the mouse vertically it's way slower than horizontally.

    • @Gen3DTech
      @Gen3DTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some control pads are designed that way like the Gamesense Radar so you can turn the pad around and give you a different feel. Almost like getting two pads in one. I don’t recall if that was the case with this pad. I will check it when o get off work.

    I ordered the paracontrol v2 yesterday at first the texture was really harsh because i switched from a hyperx fury S speed but after 2 hours or so of gaming i got used to it and it feels really nice im also using a tiger ice arc feet and it feels really nice combination with the paracontrol v2 the size is good also

    7:40 why is it just "above average" but "not quite recommended"?
    I'm just a little confused because you said the size was good, stitching was good, base was good, surface was good, glide profile was good, and it's even uncoated and humidity/sweat resistant. It sounds like they basically made a perfect medium speed pad but yet you say it's not recommended?
    Are there any other similar pads that are better or cheaper to make you not recommend this? Is it just not worth it as a pad at $40 shipped?

    • @Gen3DTech
      @Gen3DTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time for your question! This kind of feedback really helps! I did not do a good enough job explaining my conclusions. First off I want to say Pulsar is one of my favorite companies right now, and this pad is pretty good. The shipping cost abs total shipped price is the biggest ding on the pad. At $40 you can buy several slightly better pads for less. I did say the size is good, which it is in my opinion, but most people want bigger sizes and the pads that a better are also bigger. The Dornfinger Rawpad is my top pick and after this review started being sold on Amazon for $25 with free shipping. That pad is better in every way except maybe looks as I love red pads. The main two pads that are a better deal that I was thinking about were the Lethal Gaming Gear Saturn and Venus. Bigger, cheaper shipped, and better performance. I also slightly like the Pwnage precision pad a hair more. I am also stating this as a buyer in the USA, and the shipping maybe much less to other countries. If you choose the cheap shipping option it can take a month to get to you. This pad is almost great. I think if they made the pad bigger and improved the surface just a hair, it would justify the price and shipping. I would like to see at least Artisan size or better yet 500x500.

    • @Gen3DTech
      @Gen3DTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So both of those pads perform fairly similarly speed-wise with static friction, so I don't feel it is an upgrade. You might consider the Venus pad which is a tad faster and I personally prefer it over the Saturn. The best hybrid pad I think is the Padsmith First War pad. I think it is on sale for $35 right now. The new Xray Pad Wave pads are also nice. I will be doing a review on that soon. I also am about to post a very nice under-the-radar set of Dornfinger pads that uses 5.2mm soft Cordura! Not like anything out there!

      @@Gen3DTech Mousepads reviews should mostly be comparisons. Ppl dont know what "it has some speed" actually means, are u coming from a skypad? if yes, its a slow pad. Are u coming from a equate, than its a fast pad. We dont know that, so u have to make comparisons to other pads that ppl own!

    • @Gen3DTech
      @Gen3DTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tinychamberz Thank you for your input. I have only been comparing the pads I have reviewed so far to the 30 other pads I own which don't include any glass, ceramic, or artisan pads. They do include pad's rate slow to fast. I personally think glass and ceramic pads are in a class of their own. I just started reviewing mouse pads so I am still working out the format, so I do value your input, and I will try to make better reviews. I am sure a year from now, I will hate everything I did in the beginning. The VAST majority of my reviewing experience which goes back to 1996 is PC hardware such as CPU's, GPU's where is more about statical results, and explaining complex features in easy to understand bits. This stuff is much more subjective and subjected to preference.
