So it was just diving straight from the edge & ledge like a mini platform, one end it's a walking pathway, seating area & other facilities, and the other end is the swimming pool body of water, you can imagine what the platform looks like. Well, diving was the hardest skill thing to master for me during that training sesh, well I have trained in 3 different types of swimming pools arenas & only 2 of them taught me how to dive, it was the fear of heights or drowning, rather it's doubtfulness of doing it, I understand the science, so I was hesitant at first but eventually learned to accept not the fear but to overcome the challenge as an individual. In regards to the swimming pool arena, (A) 1 of them was a large indoor swimming pool arena, that had different swimming pools for different uses “normal training but no diving” & “professional training with diving”, the indoor arena used to be packed & busy and based on what was available, given the situation wasn't possible at all but separately it could be hired for the other users if possible, also had other recreational facilities mainly for the kids like water parks, had recreational spaces for adults like spa and sauna, etc. (B) The second indoor facilities were much smaller like just a simple swimming pool, with diving training included, this is where I had to overcome not the fears or doubts but the main challenge, all ages mixed, no other special facilities, I mostly did like half a belly flop with some proper diving technique, also given my height & reach discussion in the next arena, well the deep end was deeper, had a small ledge up to like the deep end like the next indoor arena swimming pool, you can see why the science needed to be considered, before making a best judgment & reflection on my abilities. (C) This indoor arena was in between the other 2 in terms of the features & facilities but a budget-friendly experience, and had a swimming pool for all ages, but had to be hired and designed lanes & areas based on skill and use, not many things to say other than the only other major facilities were a spa for adults and a budget gym for adults only, this is another place that offered diving training as part of the standard, my confidence drastically improved, a bit of a funny story, my height was 5ft 9 inches & maybe half with a reach of 7ft 0 inches which is now a thing for the rest of my life, without any shoes with & without heel or on my tiptoes, well the deep end the water level was just under my chin, it would be dangerous for me to practice diving, I still managed to do it without getting injured, as my hands little touched the floor, in this one there were more belly flops than diving, turns out I am not physically flexible. Although there was a place, I went to on 3 separate school trips to a recreational area, which had professional & semi-professional diving platforms, (D) One place was outdoors, I never went to the swimming one outdoors because I didn't trust the waters based on the colours, even though, it also had a clear outdoor swimming pool as an option but most of the kids hung around in the slightly more dangerous areas, so just chill around unless of course of it's an emergency then no diving in unclear waters, who knows how much cleaning is done, including the frequency. (E) Another place was indoors and had multiple swimming pools, I did end up swimming with the basic skills in the clear deeper end without a supervisor on / in the water, rather than the teachers monitoring out of the water, that specific pool had the professional diving platforms, the one in the video and Mr Bean episode, never really tried it had no interest, not worth the risk, I can dive but only on a reasonable science-based platform with a specific context.
