I have the Ripken Way DVD set and it is nice to see how the way the fundamentals are taught have not changed. No need to change what works.

People saying he needs work on communication skills...he sounds like every coach that actually was invested in making me a better player. People mistake tone for intent. Listen to his words.

Some times too much yelling is kinda traumatizing, I still remember what my coach mike yelled to me when i was ten when i missed a fly ball.

@@mmsculley958 yelling at kids is wrong, but these are not kids, these are teenagers and the yelling is much needed. He also praises a lot. Great coaching this.
Actually that's not even yelling, it's getting his voice across the field.

@@federico5756 I agree, but when a coach singles someone out to embarrass them for not fielding properly or anything, it lowers their confidence and discourages them to not play the game. But I do agree that some yelling is needed for young men

@@mmsculley958 again, we are not talking about ten year olds. These are young men that have raging testosterone and need firm guidance and instruction. He praises as much as he criticizes. He projects his voice to emphasis important aspects of the drills. If a kid can't handle the intensity of practice, how will he handle the pressure of a district champio ship moment in front a full crowd of fans. I would rather have that coaching instructing me than someone afraid to hurt my feelings. I WANTED to be coached. I WANTED to be the best. I needed what my coaches knew and I wouldn't want them to hold back making sure I was ready for a big momemt.

@@mmsculley958OH MY GOD!!! WHY ARE PEOPLE SO SOFT NOWADAYS. If you play baseball you’re going to have to try an ass chewing on for size & just wear it every now & then. Don’t be a 🐱

Holy shit , he’s yelling ?! So fucking what !! I promise you, those boys understood the passion behind every word and went back to their schools or wherever with a newfound mindset . Only problem I find with this , is there aren’t many African Americans at this camp …

Tell the angry bird that if he would stop yelling all the time he might have a voice. He sounds like an old chain smoker.

There is some lazy boys in these drills, you wonder why people don't move with a purpose, especially when they are doing what they supposedly enjoy!

I feel like adults that yell this much about a sport are really off balance. It just looks childish and stupid.

You must not know what it’s like to explain the drill,
Demonstrate the drill and watch teenage boys try to do the drill with little effort
Then ask them what do they love to do and then they answer baseball but their efforts do NOT match their answer.
      It’s called PASSION
The game is all about failure and work very hard to avoid failure by repetition action.
