    We all know Larry operated best under pressure.
    I'm willing to bet most games he played, He liked to keep it close so he could win
    it in dramatic fashion like Danny Ainge pointed out.

    They’ve had 5 guys guarding Bird and it made no difference.
    Every coach was terrified of Bird at the end of the game. They knew he’d keep the ball, score and win the game.

    I have a question. Bird played 12 years and 6 games. What did Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Dr J, Kobe, Pippin, Barkley, Worthy, baby lebron accomplish in that same amount of time? What would a healthy Bird accomplish in 20 years? As far as lebron, most of his points are dunks and all of the replays I've seen the other players just get out of the way. So he basically gets uncontested dunks. If Bird got uncontested dunks his numbers would be off the chart. And yes Bird dunked many times, it's all on film. So what did all of those Hall of Famers accomplish in 12 years and 6 games? Larry Bird is the best player that ever played Basketball and why? Larry Bird did everything in the game. He didn't have to make buckets to dominate the game. Enough said! G.O.A.T.

    This one is 100%💯💯💯💯DEGINITELY going in my TOP favorites!!!!!! I do NOT know how that I have missed this particular collection. Although I have seen ALL these games re-run SOOOOOOOO many times (MY DAD HAS EVERY SINGLE LARRY BIRD GAME RECORDED ON VCR TAPE!!!!!!!) AND he would love to rewind certain footage a 100 times or more (have no idea how those tapes still will work lol but they do) it unfortunately has been close to 20 years I think since Dad and I had any time cause how we loved "the Bird/Celtics games" (dad as @BU TV knows cause I told him TOTALLY Emulated Larry all the way down to the love of cutting grass except Dad would have to do it back in the day in his "Bird/old day basketball short shorts.....use to embarrass Mom, my brother and lol who THEY DIDN'T GET IT but wanted him to wear long shorts....) Funny quick story I remember when my brother got older he actually WANTED to cut the grass we had an old supercool Yazoo self propel (that's nothing compared to equipment today) we thought we were "uptown" when Dad finally saved up enough to buy one (cause he only used cash unless for work or a dire emergency). But my brother told my dad later he REALLY wanted to do it so he didn't wear those shorts lol and told him "well Dad Larry never cut grass in long shorts cause TH-cam has shown us how he dressed off court in long shorts" (probably Gap or Old Navy or something like that the khaki style lol) I almost fell off the couch laughing when the truth came out on why my brother REALLY wanted to cut the grass at 13 lol. ALTHOUGH WE WOULDN'T BE INSIDE GLUED TO A TV OR VIDEO GAMES!!!!!! sorry long post and some off topic.

      (remember @ BU TV I told you that was "OUR THING". BUT NOW when I go for my visit soon THIS WILL BE & HE WILL LIKE YOUR COMMENTARY!!! He hasn't been big on alot lately BUT like I told you on how YOU & I have like this in sync crazy FAVORITES and thoughts in basketball, again DEFINITELY music/rap (I will message you so you can put me on some more good ones like you did when we started with "any G-Unit fans out there? Walton reminds me of Tony Yayo" and then when you quoted that quote about the more money you really see who someone is....and no I didn't say that quote right BUT MAN I LOVE LOVE LOVE that thread & rabbit hole on a few of those artists I had missed SO I AM SO GLAD I commented on that and what song because I had the wrong artist and song) ANYWAYS FOR ANYONE ELSE who doesn't like my convo with my 100& 💯💯💯FAVORITE BASKETBALL reactor then "that person can skip this comment" just saying. I go to sleep watching his reactions, I work watching them (well not on a call of course for anyone who has read what I do) I CURRENTLY had to unfortunately take some short-term disability because work wasn't going to give me enough sick days or personal now as they call them (which I actually like that change in human resource wording because you AREN'T always sick when you have to miss work or need to do something important & back in the day well all us older folks remember THIS GENERATION doesn't appreciate how easy THEY HAVE IT ESPECIALLY IN THE WORK FORCE like on stuff like that even though alot else I do NOT like THAT I DID AND THIS IS WHY I COULDN'T BE A REACTOR I WOULD GET SO OFF TOPIC LOL.....I am a "Bill Walton" or "Magic Johnson" lol I love to talk and people and certain subjects I can ramble lol.

    The amazing thing is that Larry didn’t practice 3 point shots! 3 pointers weren’t a major part of the game back then. You took a few way outside shots just to spread out the defense.

    I still can't believe that shot didn't go in! Larry was the Greatest! Sadly, there are too many like Reddick that think Larry Bird is "overrated'. Or they are prejudice towards Larry Bird because he is white. There also those from back then ...that are jealous and don't want to admit how good Bird was!

  • @mrho4speed
    @mrho4speed ปีที่แล้ว

    That Washing ton game Bird actually hit 3 game savers or winners. What was not shown was the 3 pointer to tie up the game = a runner from the center of the court, another one legged shot, right after the shot that was waved off. Then came the game winner in overtime. Bird is so overlooked today it is criminal. Bird was a better player than Magic, Magic just has more rings and was on a better team.

    I mean what’s the famous quote on who to win the game and who to shoot to save your life and it’s MJ for the win and Larry FIR YOUR LIFE COMING OUT OF THE MOUTH OF ONE IF THE ABSOLUTELY GREATEST to play watch coach EVERYTHING AND HES SEEN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY AMAZING PLAYS PLAYERS AND GREATEST FAMES ETC SO I TAKE HIS WORD OVER ALMOST ANYONE & Magic and many more agree. I cannot tell you how many coaches my dad has taught on HOW TO COACH AND WHO AND WHAT PLAYERS AND PLSYS TO STUDY TO TEACH OR REMIND GUYS AND GALS AND LARRY TOPS THEM NOT BECAUSE that’s his favorite which is EXACTLY HOW HE USE TO START SEMINARS ETC AND KOBE was his next and Magic and MJ ( it’s just EXTREMELY HARD to teach younger kids and guys and gals how to be like Mike 😂😂) because he was just unbelievable and honestly it’s kinda like that with all those pioneers. Dad because of me & my size and moves started using AI Allen Iverson because that was me or my brother was like John Stockton too. I actually Especially For my size could throw like Larry but I played best at Fast Pitch softball and I was a shortstop because athleticism and quick thin and could catch and throw and I could play deep infield or backup the outfield say they had just made a play or were playing deep to the wall and someone hit one TECHNICALLY out of the normal shortstop range but I could get and I although small had the arm to fire and catch and throw and gets the outs and EXCELLENT on double plays which I combined (BECAUSE DAD AND I STUDIED AND KNEW ALL ABOUT LARRY & his transfer of skills from the field to the court and I did the same. My brother got me lots as a shooter UNLESS it was 3’s and those baseline shots……I was better like Larry on those and I tried my best to pattern off him, AI and Kobe ❤RIP . I CRIED LIKE MIKE. But my brother AND I BOTH HAD CLUTCH DOWN AND HONESTLY played best in those moments and games etc and playoffs and all star anything. My brother was a top notch pitcher and unbelievable closer and I remember my dad vividly saying to him why can’t you be more like your sister and Larry on the court some games lol but he could do things I struggled with and had to “Mamba through” . And I was a DAWG in high school and brother and my brother was a DAWG in high school and college. Our teams and as players lol. 😂 I just am getting to in my head relive some great words nd moments watching all this with you and I could watch a 3 plus hour video of yours. You definitely are my favorite and go to. I like best you don’t “follow the reactor rules’” lol. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH AND YOU CAN HELP MANY I HOPE BECAUSE HOW WELL YOU KNOW THE GAME AND ARTICULATION of breaking it down. You have some great gifts and your voice & personality are perfect for all this.
