INT pub. OTS woman pulling a pint for an old woman with head scarf and coat sitting at the bar, empty pint glass in hand. Old woman looks depressed, tired, worn, talking to bartender, barmaid pulling her pint. VO about going to the club for dinner some days in order to avoid loneliness. Old woman talks to men at pub, drinking pints, friendly, community, men smiling at old woman. Woman leaves pub, traditional East End pub.

She's on her own, no one makes her feel unwanted, she orders a pint (this before the women's liberation front appeared in the 1970s), this elderly lady had been through ww2 the blitzs where many of the bombs dropped... She talks openly about loneliness and having a meal down the pub... She probably walked up to the next pub and had another pint, then the next pub and so on until she got home... London, East London 1960s... Brings a tear to yer eye knowing she didn't have an easy life but just got on with it.
