a thing i think is really important when you're building a following is that having a small group of people following you and enjoying what you do is way more stimulating than having a large audience that doesn't care as much, it's hard to get people to interact with your content but by having something unique to show and avoiding trends that only lead to temporary gains, you might a way more organic growth
This idea of resistance, or “beating that thing that holds you back” like you mention in the video, is a HIGHLY underrated topic. There’s a whole book on this. It’s called The War of Art. Reading this was hands down the best thing I’ve ever done for my career. I’ll paraphrase something he says in the book, “sitting down to start the work might be the most painful thing you do all day, but staying and completing the work might be the best thing you do all year”

these mindsets are really important that you talked about although my thing with criticism is i often see it as a subjective thing, like some people would like some things better about my music than others. I also suffer from only showing my music to like one or two people(idky) which greatly reduces my ability to get a more "even" review. Anyways great video as always

It’s been 3 years now that I’ve dropped my first EP, I’ve just made two new tracks since. I really want to make new music, I love the process. But when I’m in front of my computer, nothing is happening, I don’t know, opening the daw is like too hard? I think I unconsciously don’t want too feel the pain of putting a lot of effort in something that will get no plays. And I’m searching some excuses like « i need to find a new name, i need a nice 3d animation for reels to promote my music ». Ideas of perfection kill the creativity of doing stuff with just what you got. But I feel like if it’s not perfect nobody will notice cause it will be lost in the ocean of perfect content who’s already there. I’m stuck with my daily job.
You are so right. This world really does not care about any of us. The good news is, God does! He loves us so much that he allowed his only Son to die so that anyone who chooses to, can repent of their sins, ask for forgiveness and mercy, and be born again into His family for all eternity through the sacrifice He provided through His Son Jesus Christ. We are all loved more than we know by the One who chose to die willingly for us! That's good news right there!
