I have changed my thinking on how I classify a razor these days.I no longer say aggressive or mild. The way i would classify this razor is extremely smooth but very very efficient .
I now have three review videos on the .84 Game Changer ! I think this razor is so superior to ANY razor I ever used and Is now" My Razor " period~! I rate the aggression on the .84 gap at level 4. So not that aggressive ! For face shavers that low profile is amazing for under the nose and one more thing there Is zero blade exposure on the razor ends. That means no more clipped ears on my head shaves. Owners will find the unique way the blade is held in the head will make it super easy to clean and most importantly it holds the blade 100 percent in alignment 100 percent of the time you load it ~! My BEST blades in it in order are Nacet, Crystal and Personna. Before the .84 Game Changer I was an every 3 day shaver . Now I am an every other day shaver and loving every BBS shave. Truly for guys like me that would have never been able to afford a $200 razor and would never have experienced a more ""Perfect" premium razor with out this "gift" from Razorock ; thank you Italian Barber and thank you Razorock ~! Kit
The GC with .84 is just about right for a daily driver IMO. I have a Rockwell 6s and I'd say the .84 is somewhere around the 4 plate, perhaps even an iota less? Three passes using new Nacet ss with touchup=bbs more or less. No worries about blood and irritation. I would still like to see a more aggressive base plate offering in the future. Maybe instead of bigger gap, grind off a little of the safety bar to expose more blade? The .68 is way too timid for my taste, no blade feel at all..bbs is impossible for me. Basically impossible to cut yourself, even with a new feather blade. Love the way the razor is made and the balance etc though. I can work with this .84, it's nice!
Jim Hinson I could have written your comment word for word and I am using the Nacet blades now too in the .84 Game changer !!!!!! I LOVE MY GC !!!! Thank you for watching the video and for your comments too ~! Kit
If I want a 1/2 step up in aggression( 4.5) I use my number two razor which is the Razorock German Slant with a Nacet or Astra blade in it ! What a terrific number two shaver ! Thanks again Jim ~! Kit
I agree that it is hard to find the perfect razors for your skin and beard tuffness! I took me a year finding the shave number razors that could cut though my tuff whiskers but not send my sensitive skin to the hospital (grinn) Well I found the two Razorock Shavers get it done with the perfect three blades. The GC is number one because I could shave easily every other day with NO irritation and with a three pass like you described I get a BBS . However the Slant gives me the same or a little closer shave in less passes. However it is number two because just that 1/2 step up in aggression means every three day shaves if I were using it all the time !!! So the shave number Razors perfect for me are 4.0 and 4.5 in aggression and you sound similar when you talk about your shave with the .84 Razorock Game Changer ! Kit
It really seems you cannot praise this razor enough. As a head shaver myself, I am really tempted to buy one. Currently I am using a Fatip grande so I am afraid the game changer might be a bit too mild...
Hi Fi True for me the Game Changer is PERFECT and nothing to complain with it ! Weather or not the .84 gap version would work for you I really don't know because for example my shave number is 4 and the .68 gap I am certain would NOT work for me. Likewise say you really need higher aggressive razors Like a Yaqi Beast or an R41 and your shave number is like a 6-8 I am pretty sure you would not love the Game changer as I do! I don't know what a Fatip Grande shaves like so I can not advise you. Kit
I guess you would have to find out more from me. I use the term aggressive level when it comes to razors a lot on my channel. I don't think anyone but me speaks about a shave number but basically that means what razor with its blade gap and geometry provides a shave without hurting your skin yet "aggressive enough to give a great close shave. One way to look at this would be with a Parker Variant Razor that has Six aggression setting on it because it is an adjustable razor. If I set the Variant on setting 2 for example and I can get a very close shave or BBS then I might consider my shave number or "aggression scale to be 2. In my actual case my best razor (Razorock .84 gap Game Changer) shaves at an aggression level of 4 and with a Nacet, or a Personna or a Crystal Blade I get a perfect non irritating BBS shave. So my shave number is 4... Everybody has a shave number, meaning a certain level of aggression on the razor itself plus how sharp or aggressive the blade is. If you every heard of a Muhle R 41 that is an aggression level 8 a razor for people with very very tuff skin and beards .... if they can shave with that their shave number might be an 8. However for example I have a Baili razor that has and aggression Scale number of 3 or a very very mild razor and no matter how sharp a blade I put in it I can not get a close shave. Why because of the razors blade Gap and geometry is below my "shave number or below my aggression scale that works for me .... That is about the best way I can describe aggression Scale or "Shave Number " Kit
Great shave
Excellent shave and information!
This is a good video very interesting

baili butterfly and baili bd176 are the same in aggression?
It has been a while now since I tried the bali butterfly but I do remember thinking the BD 176 to be superior in alignment.

I am really interested and would love to learn more about this aggressive razor scale you speak of. Where could I find more information on this?
