That Sentinel piece is the closet thing I've seen to a comic book exploding to live in statue form.

The blue and yellow wolverine aztec bust makes me think of Rey Mysterio haha. That X-Men diorama is crazy, so much going.
Yeah, if they were actually going for an Aztec look, they should've added some Jade, obsidian and feathers (well maybe the feathers would be too much)

Alonso Mosley same here. I don’t think anything will ever compare to that custom silver surfer (from what I’ve seen on video, not on hand 😢). But I do like that this one is a small base and by Daniel Bel who does great anatomy.
I watched this live and man they did close ups on all the stuff nobody wanted to see. So glad you were able to get up close!

Congrats man for getting to go to Sideshow. The Star Wars line and the X-men Dio killed it. I appreciate that they put this together. Sucks that COVID was probably responsible for the lack of reveals.

That X-Men/Sentinel diorama is insanely awesome and I love how most of the characters have their 90s comic book looks. Definitely the belle of the ball.
My jaw almost dropped off my face when I saw that Sentinel set up!!! That's so beautiful and so insane!!!!! The detail is incredible. That's like EVERY Xmen statue I need right there. I could grab that and be good. Freaking mind blowing. The designer obviously has a deep love for Xmen.
Very cool they gave you the hookup to get on up in there, you’re the perfect TH-camr to have access to these beauties - and clearly shows Sideshow digs your channel! Your videos are what got me into statues in the first place, and I’m glad I came aboard around such an exciting time in the hobby 🤓

I like the Star Wars statues. I've had my eye on that Asaj Ventress for a while and Maul and Sidious look damn cool too. Rancor is even more detailed then I originally thought. That would be a nice piece in any Star Wars collection.
I think Silver Surfer looks great and the price isn't bad for a "maquette". I like the Frankie Ray Nova exclusive also. Thanks for the video Gem. I've still got my fingers crossed for a Storm PF reveal this week. Stay safe!

This is the best statue reveal i have seen in ages,i do not like the comic con statue walk around, Because too many people walk past and interrupt the commentary also, the reflection of the glass on the products takes away the full impact .Thank you for your time i appreciate it .As i am in Australia we will not get ANY chance to view these any time soon. The Silver Surfer statues physique looks exactly Frank Zane, wouldnt be surprised if that was the inspiration for this.

bcause he was the actor that had been choose to play Silver Surfer in the late 80.
i believe Bel took noticed and sculpted it based on him, not based on the modern F4 Silver Surfer movie done by Fox.
and no wonder the pose looks like a bodybuilder posing for a in front of the juries.

I'm an X-men fan. Lifelong comic collector. Never bought a statue before. Started watching your channel for the comics. Started digging the artistry in the statues. Then you posted this and it blew my mind. It was my Jim lee 90s X-Men come to life. Now here we are $6,000+ later and I've ordered all 3 sentinels and most of the proximity pieces. Hell of a way to start collecting.
