Strandberg are just out of this world, they’re like the Tesla of the guitar world. I’m going to buy one but now I’ve watched this video I’m not sure which one to get! I thought I was set on the classic 6
I'm tempted to get myself a strandberg soon, I was looking at the true temperament 6 string but is the extra expense actually noticeable for the sake of perfect intonation? How does the intonation fair up on the non tt models?
I never heard of this guitar player before, but man this guy is what I call a real musician. He nails all styles so well. He like myself doesn’t think in label consensus and that’s what I miss when hearing most guitar players. True respect for this cat🙏🏻
Fair is fair, but is it really the guitar or even the player? Unplug everything and let's see, or do an unprocessed DI. That does not take away from the guitar being a great piece of instrument or the artist being phenomenal, do not get me wrong.
Did he "Nail That Tone"? Was everything from a Kemper? Don't get me wrong, I suck, this guitar player jams, but everything sounds so sterile, like a computer playing guitar. I hope I never get this good... Still, would like to try a Strandberg neck one day. EDIT: OH Fractal.
Oh yeah, i can already picture the new wave of prog cowboys playing country with a Boden 8-string. Many of these tones aren't that good in the actual settings of their genres, but if you are playing a cross genre setting they can fake the job
More like how many genres can Kenny Serane play. Phenomenal player. However I’d like to get my hands on a Plini Strandberg one day lol.
Holy words
Absolutely right. Its ideal for prog/fusion.
Apparently the answer is: all of them.
And the final results of this video:
This guy can do it all!
Brand and equipment ain’t important.
...yeah... it is...
😂
Couldn't agree more
All guitar reviews should be done like this!
Such a polished player Kenny, super cool playing!!
I've been wanting this instrument since I first saw it. Still saving, but I WILL have it. Thank you .Strandberg* for everything.
With the finance option through most companies it's possible friend! I'm ordering an NX today through guitar center and they're offering 15% off!
Which of these tones was your favorite? Drop a comment and let us know. 👇
They all sounded phenomenal and I mean that, but the modern blues really surprised me. Plenty of definition and warmth.
I liked the Latin and the Plini sounding one. The Thrash solo was spot on, but the rest of it felt a bit more hair metal (Winger) to me.
The one where you send me a Boden Prog 5 string bass, that is MY favorite tone...😁 excellent sounding guitar though!
Bossa, Modern Blues and Thrash
The country sound by a long way.
Nice playing I like the fusion demonstration most of all the effects on the guitar for the chord section 👍👊
Oh thank god if bluegrass was on here so help me!!! I’d go back to playing the hurdy-gurdy.
🤣👏🏽👏🏽great tones folks
I think I like the clean blues best
First look at thumbnail: o I think this is just a click bait
After some time : ooh man this guy is amazing, he can really play many genres
How many styles of music can the Boden DR play?
- Yes

The better question is: how many genres can you handle? Great job mate, lots of respect there

true tone is only useful for standard tuning, if you play drop tunings i wouldn’t recommend it
would love a trem model on this . Or the Salen :p

Shame this guitar was limited run. Would give anything for a boden DR, gorgeous looking guitar.
Astonishing! Wow.
Great playing. Would be useful to see the pickup selection e.g have the guitar in full shot?
I wait mine in few days....
ok, but how low price strandberg can handle?
Are you putting the guitar on some sort of a stand?

what is prog pop?? :P
Like prog metal, minus the pretentious pseudo-profound lyrics.
Like pop corn IMo

EDIT: OH Fractal.
So it's basically a Telecaster. Sweet.
I would have liked to hear it without drums and background tracking drowning it out.
too bad they nerfed the new line of guitars and act like they're improved
how do you mean
Totally agree.
Oh yeah, i can already picture the new wave of prog cowboys playing country with a Boden 8-string.

stupid video concept. Every guitar can play every genre. Has almost nothing to do with the guitar you are playing.(Great guitars though)
So, the point of this video is…. That with different amps and effects… any guitar can sound like any genre…. Ahhh, duh!
crazy how that works
For sure! but my point here is to show headless guitars are not ONLY for metal :)
more of a demo of the guitar
You must not know much about the number of genre specific instruments.
Plugins are like CDs, making everything sounds shallow..... No grit, no byte, no organic sound.... Sorry, that's a thumb down
And your video of you playing the white guitar is suppose to sound organic? Cmon man.
