I can't add a lot to what you already said. However this song is special because she has sung it numerous times over the past several years. It is a song she knows and loves and she definitely has an affinity for Adele songs. No question this was her best performance of this song I have seen because at this age of 18, her voice is fuller and more powerful and lends itself well to the performance.

JND, you're so, so right about Angelina not just giving special attention certain parts of the song, here and there. She gives special attention to every line, phrase, word ... syllable. Never waiting for the big part of the song to wake up and really start singing. It's one of the things that I think truly separates her from the pack. She's really a singer's singer. I really don’t care what anyone says, if she never writes an original song who cares? When she covers a song, it’s like you’ve never heard it before anyway. She can deconstruct and rearrange music and make the original song much easier to listen to and capture the true essence of the song. Angelina is pure genius when she covers old songs!
just to make to make sure you are aware Angelina has 12 original songs that have been released. 6 on her recent EP called Old Enough, and she sang an unreleased new song in her Las Vegas concert on the 29 feb called Princess of ruin she is a lyrical genius

My point was that she can deconstruct, rearrange and use one of her many chameleon voices to take any song and make it totally different from the original, thereby basically creating a whole new song without changing the lyrics, and now that she’s 18 Angelina won’t have to change the lyrics anymore to make them age appropriate.
It seems to me that our Barefoot Princess has her own special genre that she uses for cover songs . I call it her " There , I fixed for y'all " genre ! Because every cover that she does , she improves upon !

Agree, that is why when you reference a classic jazz piece you reference it by the particular performance, date or specific recording. Improvising is the very HEART of jazz. And Angelina ( no matter what genre) is a JAZZ singer at heart.
