I have some questions on how you might handle some the situations in my region , which doesn't offer much in elevation change yet never fails to throw a curveball
We have a fabricated assembly that consists of the blunt foot that they used to make (now they only make flat feet & raptor feet), & put a bolt through it. The bolt goes into the eye of the pindle hitch, but within the eye is a ball joint... I'll just post a picture of it on my "Community" tab from my channel homepage.

Bob how was the easel leg of the vortex attached to the pindle hitch? Hard to tell in the videos.
