Don’t let the string of THANGS plant get you down, here’s some tips! Balding can be caused by the plant pulling from the top and/or lack of light hitting the top of the pot. I like to keep under a grow light or be sure that the light from a window is actually hitting the top of the pot versus just the side of the leaves. A shallow pot helps to keep watering not only getting to the top of the plant but down that the bottom of the roots as well. Soil mix used is a succulent/cactus soil by and gravel by bonsai jack gravel on Amazon. Any other questions, leave them down below and follow along for more planty care along the way.

It's unbelievable how well it's thriving now in that same pot with many strings measuring up to 825mm! 😍 I'm so amazed and thrilled by its growth! 🌱 I think the Australian heat and humidity are playing a big role in this incredible transformation 😂

I was SO tired of mine that I tossed them all into one of my reptile enclosures in a last ditch effort to save them. It worked! They are happier than ever before in my care despite being constantly trampled on by one of my geckos 😅😂

Its been over 100f for more than 30 days in the last 45 days so my poor string of pearls is cooking. In the sunlit window- scorched. In the cooler shade of my room- wilting. Its absolutely brutal and i just want it to live through this miserable summer 😫
I have the tiniest pot of SOP i got from a free proplift at the store.. somehow he has made it this far lol!! Tons of new growth! I only water when the beads are squishy/puckered. He is right under a grow light and pretty happy there. Progress is slow but lots of tiny new pearls growing!

I told a friend today that i had house plant chores! (Repot 2 orchida and a plant of unknown origin i got off fb market place for 5 dollars!) And thought of you. 😊
God I bought one of these in a tiny 1 inch pot and they didn’t even hang over the side ($8!). They died a few weeks later and I tried SO hard to keep them alive and even propogate the ones that were left with no luck. I don’t think I’ll ever have the heart to try again lol.
I had issues out first too. I have since learned they enjoy pon and tons of light. Come to think of it, all my string-of-things are in pon or straight water (with some fluval stratum & super thrive).
For some reason, this year my string of pearls turned PURPLE and almost died. I think it was getting sunburned, but also I thought it needed a lot direct sun, so I have no idea what's happening 😅 I put it under a grow light instead, and it's doing pretty good, but it'll start going purple again occasionally.

It was Burros Tail succulent for me, every now and then im tempted to buy it again but after the disaster that happened with the last one I've decided that it's just better for me stay away from it
Is there a name for the tiny little plant stand you have on your shelf? I might’ve just ordered a ton of succulents yesterday after getting rejected by a coworker 🥴 and I think the gap between the shelf and my current lights is a bit too far!
My string of pearls died to spite me. My pink string of hearts is 1 inch long(I killed the rest of the plant that is all that survived) but my other string of hearts and my string of bananas are longer than I am tall. They are both about 6 feet long.

I regret getting me string of hearts. They tangle SO EASILY AND MAKE ME SO MAD. Other than that they're fairly easy to care for :(
