I would like to point out that at various points you can see great tension in my hands. A pinky finger sticking out e.g. or an index finger hanging in the air, fingers not held onto the keys. This is bad!! It is hard, but you should really strive for keeping a totally relaxed hands at all times. Also, I lost the correct rhythm at points. I discuss these issues in the tutorial - I'm only just realising I also did these mistakes... I will upload better performances in the future.

This is so so so so good and beautiful, I’m trying to play it myself but it’s hard! Congratulations, really!

Thank you! It's nice to see more people getting interested in Lubomyr's music. This piece means a lot to me and yes, it is hard. The notes alone are not so bad compared to many other pieces but being able to really "do" it took a long time. And I'm not even "doing it" in this recording, it's taken me years and I'm still improving (many things in this video I am not happy with anymore!). Hopefully the tutorial I made is an ok place to start! If I may say, you will need to be very patient with yourself and the ability to play this piece (the way Lubomyr intends) comes with more of a mental transformation than a physical, technical improvement.

@@him21016 after watching your “introduction video” I felt Lubomyr music is “beyond music”. I can’t even describe it! he’s coming to Portugal but I won’t be able to watch him live! :( thank you so much for your content and sharing his work!

@@folhavero thanks again. I agree, it is beyond music, beyond anything that has happened before. Not to say he is "the best" (but I would say that anyway...) but he is amazingly unique. The most incredible pieces (that I've heard so far) are "Windmills", "The End of the World" and "Remnants of a man". Unfortunately the last two are hard to find, but you can email him directly for recordings. Or something like this: th-cam.com/video/1hRMNe4ZkZ0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b0flqid7AtFJOyZU, or "Le Miroir D'Amour", they're all insanely skillful and inspired.

It sounds amazing. You’re very talented! I would love to try to learn this piece myself as well, but I can’t read notes. I’d love to have it on Synthesia, but I can’t find a video tutorial of it anywhere on TH-cam. Do you know where and if I could find one?

    • @him21016

Thanks. Unfortunately Lubomyr's music is off the beaten track. To my knowledge the only professional recordings of his pieces out there are... well, by him, and he has very few students. Last time I checked my recordings were the only nonprofessional ones that came up so yeah I doubt there's a piano tutorial out there. I have often considered posting one here though! I might get around to that, maybe doing a brief explainer of his musical philosophy.

Beautiful, thank you very much! I’ve yet to take in the whole thing, but the start is amazing. I’m counting down the time until I’m in front of a piano again to follow your instruction!

Доброго времени вам. Какая прекрасная музыка. Как красиво вы играете, могу узнать вы сами по слуху подбирали ноты? Это ппосто божеснно. Я вашем видео наслождаюсь игрой. Очень приятно слушать.

Thank you, I did not expect to receive a message like this from a stranger. I did not pick up the notes myself, I have had lessons from the composer and there is a (very limited) scorebook, that should still be available, which I bought and studied from

@@АлексейШалыгин-п4й Cool. I will try to post here more often, I know how to play a few of this composer’s pieces. If enough people are interested I could make short videos about how to start playing these pieces. This is a link to the scorebook: www.erasedtapes.com/product/erasm007-continuous-music-selected-works.

Love it- just practicing the same piece, bought the notes from Lubomyr himself. Your playing is absolutely beautiful mate, keep it up
