It is Well with My Soul

The famous Hymn as composed by Philip Paul Bliss was written by Horatio Spafford who was a successful lawyer and businessman in Chicago with a lovely family - a wife, Anna, and five children.
He lost his only son in the great Chicago fire and then his four daughters on a terrible ship collision on their way to England.
This song was however inspired on his way to see his wife who by God's grace survives the terrible collision.
Perhaps, we cannot always say that everything is well in all aspects of our lives because, there will always be storms to face. But with faith in a loving God and with trust in His divine help, we can confidently say, “it is well with our soul.
