    both are good but honestly shisoshin is not a stronger enough kata for a world semi final...

      I agreed with you, Shisochin truly isn't a great kata for competitions, but aka done the kata with much less technique than ao, he shaked some movements, not defining well, he was clearly nervous during the whole kata, without confidence and without time, some movements he ended too quickly, not "savoring" the whole movement, like he wanted to end it as fast as he could (because of his nervous) and he didn't seem to understand the movements, it seems like he was only making a coreography, it seems like a kata without soul... I think my explanation was kinda confusing, sorry lol.
      Bascially, even thought Shisochin isn't a competitive kata, it was clear that the japanese had more skill, confidence in general and, above all, his kata had a soul.
