I asked so many questions in my other reply, I thought it sensible to express my thanks with not just words but with wallet too. You and Kristi are an antidote to the jaded “measurements only” crowd that seems to be taking over hifi.
I like in the info section you're not only listing the amps/receivers you've recently reviewed for these speakers...but also the amps/receivers you don't recommend for these speakers. Thanks for always going above and beyond in your reviews!
I own a pair of second hand, slightly damaged 705 S2 Signatures and think they look and sound fantastic. The damage was easy to overcome and ultimately saved me a lot of money. Knowing that B&W put more effort into the differences between the 705 S3 and S3 Signatures than they did with the last generation S2s has really piqued my interest. But, until I can come across a show room to demo or an affordable price to own, I will have to continue to experience products such as these signatures vicariously through the ears of Andrew. Thank you for the review. Keep playing the role of our super handsome friend who attracts all the best speakers and gear at the night club. :)

I borrowed a pair of 705 s2 a while ago, I was mesmerized by the big clear soundstage and they created a phantom center speaker in a home theater setup💪🏽😎
I have the B&W 702 S-2 versions (older - got for a good price 2 years back as S-3s arriving to market)) Hooked up to my Yamaha 2200 Integrated - detail is fabulous. Hi Andrew & Kristi, how bowers 705s3 (signature & non signature ) compare to Kef ls50 meta, is it so much better or not ? And same question 705 vs Formation duo ? Cheers from Poland !
The Duos are powered speakers, so not really a fair comparison. They are fantastic speakers but I have not heard them in a long time. I think they are do for an update. KEF will be more neutral speakers so it really depends on what kind of sound you want. My personal tastes are with the B&W. Thank you for the contribution to the channel!

Listened to these recently on the end of a Marantz PM10 and had to have both, they seemed to be very well matched and a perfect replacement for my old Cyrus and 707s2 combo
Nice to hear! I have the 707 S2 in a small/med room powered by a Marantz PM 6006 and it’s a good match. Now that I have tinnitus I am probably done upgrading anything else.
Hello from Canadian Cottage Country! 🇨🇦 hope everyone is having a great long weekend 🏖️ thank you Andrew and Kristi on another outstanding review 👏🏻 👏🏻
In my opinion, B&W speakers are a perfect example of why measurements aren't everything. I have some older 685S2 bookshelf speakers and, to me, they sound exciting and very dynamic, yet smooth in the midrange. To my ears, the midrange dip makes for a much more smooth & pleasant sound. After this review, I'd love to update to these 705S3 Signatures.
Happy Sunday! After all of the recent reviews of B&W speakers, do you still have the same love for the B&W Formation Duo speakers? Been enjoying the channel for quite some time, keep up the great work.
We don't have the Formation Duos anymore (they were review samples), but I still think they're great speakers --though I can't comment on their wireless connectivity or App in 2024.
I had them till recently and they sound phenomenal for their price bracket. Here in the UK you can find them on great deals as low as $2500-2600 range. The fact you get a complete system (full range bookshelves with sub capability + amp + preamp + DAC + Streamer) in a box that can easily match or surpass in some cases sonically a high end B&W 705 complete traditional system setup and at that price bracket is a STEAL. I truly hope and pray B&W hasn’t given up on the Duos and are investing in a Gen 2 version. It’s been quite a while and no rumours for an update. 😢 IMHO it can easily be the future of HiFi. Note: connectivity issues were a problem for me 3 years ago. Since then the speakers have had several firmware updates and as of the past 2 years I NEVER had almost a single issue. Plug and play.
@@gpapa31completely agree. I brought the Duos based on Andrew and Kristi’s review and has been very happy with them and continue to be. I have a Cambridge Alva TT v2 connected via Formation Audio and it sounds excellent, better than any hi-res streaming services. Also, recent firmware updates have addressed my main grips regarding connection issues and input switching. So not much to complain here any more. Having said that, I am wondering what would be an upgrade from here and am curious to hear what did you choose after Duos and did you feel it was a worthwhile upgrade. Every time I audition a speaker setup in the showroom and come back to my Duo, I always felt that I was not missing out compared to the high priced alternatives I just auditioned. But the upgrade bug keeps itching😊
@@rakeshs1291 Comes down to what you want. I loved the Duos because it is a High-End B&W complete system (almost zero compromise or cash grab antics) in a box and with ridiculous ease of use. Speakers were always plugged and switch ON the second I got home. Less than a minute boot I had High Res/High End audiophile sound on the tap (Qobuz streamer here). I don’t think you can replicate the same experience with a traditional system (separates) @ THAT price. Andrew can correct me but I can’t find something similarly good and I have demoed many all in one smart high end speakers (LS50, LS60, Beolab 8, Dali Rubicon 8c, Sonus Faber etc). The “drawback” is you cannot customise your setup (choose different amp, preamp, DAC) that would allow you more sonic choices. Also it lacks physical IN/OUTs making it purely a wireless experience with whatever that entails. IMHO the natural evolution for the Duo would be a Gen 2 version with a Diamond twitter and a better internal amp which will bring the 800 series experience to a new level of comfort and lifestyle ease. Or a floorstander version to rival LS60? Maybe a better connectivity protocol, new app and why not some physical AUX options. There are no limits to where the Duos can go with the right commitment behind them, the tech is here. It’s an outstanding idea for people who are after High End B&W signature audio experience without the hassle and headache of getting separates. And IMHO shares the benefits and uniqueness of an active speaker Design which is short signal path, optimised drive unit behaviour to amplifier, dynamic EQ, full control over dynamic drive unit behaviour, custom dedicated, voiced amp based on the character B&W wants to give to the speaker etc. Convenient, fast, small footprint, no cables and boxes to worry and with almost zero compromise on audio quality. If that’s what you want I’d say you’re already there man, you don’t need to look any further as of now. Unless of course you are after that “godlike sound” of ultra high end gear - high 800 series, Focal Diablos, Wilson audio and beyond. But you’re also looking at an enormous leap on budget.
Great review, Andrew. As with any piece of equipment, it is not how it measures but how it makes you feel. Bowers & Wilkins have produced some duds over the years (as has every manufacturer) but they have also produced some real gems. Rock on!
I just watched your video about the Bowers & Wilkins Formation Duo from 5 years ago, and I'm curious about what you would say about the Formation Duo today, five years later. Are these speakers still among the best choices in active systems, or have they become outdated, with better options available at the same price point among active speakers? What's your overall perspective on active vs. passive speakers today? Do you think B&W should update the Formation Duo if they want to remain competitive?
@andrewrobinsonreviews to be honest, I think the massive 801 d4 signature fits the blue very well. On this one, the other option looks way better to me weirdly.
I guess I am different from most people. I have and like the B&W 607 S2. My 60-year-old ears cannot hear much above 12 KHz. And I don’t listen loud. So, the 607 S2 never sound ear-bleedingly bright to me. Sure, if I turn up the volume, the sound can get too bright. But at the volume that I listen, and with my ears cutting off high frequencies, they sound bright, but not too bright to me (I like bright sound).
11:02 that 🥊jab towards the lastest Bad Boys. I love it. Till this day I regard the time and money invested into a trip to cinema because of Bad Boys 3😂.
The original is still the best of the four with each one after getting progressively worse. I cannot believe what they've done to Martin Lawrence's character, it's sad.
@@andrewrobinsonreviewswhat he said ☝️ 1000% agree. Gotta love modern film making just taking great characters and making them “better fit for today”. Ugh
Awesome review as always. But I do have a couple frivolous questions for both you and Kristi: 1. How strongly do you feel about this finish option vs the blue option? The blue in your 801 review seemed to have more depth than the marketing photos suggested. 2. Beyond build quality and the B&W mystique, did the 705 Sig have any sonic advantages over the SVS Titans in your and Kristi’s opinion? 3. Were you guys able to test these with your Sony 7000 receiver? I ask this because I’m likely to go with a phantom center, despite the rave review of the B&W center options you mentioned, and you’ve said in the past Denon/Marantz make phantom centers sound recessed in the mix. Thank you so much in advance if you’re able to answer these questions, and thanks again for the wonderful review.
When did you review the KEF r3 meta? You made a couple of references to this speaker in the review? It’s definitely a speaker I’m really interested in.
Great review esp regarding keeping ths speakers straight ahead. I have the non signTure edition and decided the same as it felt slighly high on the top end. On an unrelated note this hairstyle suits you very well.
Hey Andrew and Kristi, I know speakers aren't cheap, and I'm sure you guys are stacked with reviews. But I'd love to hear a review on the JBL studio 698 if the opportunity comes your way! And as always, love the reviews!
Hi guys, would you fancy doing a vid of your go to music for testing speakers? I've watched a lot of what you publish and would be brilliant to hear what music you like.
Man I love watching your videos even though my pockets don’t 😅 I own a Polk PSW 10 and I would love for you you to review it. I personally love it and I think you will too. Perhaps do a series for people on a budget?
Hi Ian! Thanks for watching. We no longer do dedicated sub reviews but if you are looking for more budget friendly videos, check out our budget playlist bit.ly/2MhHm93.
Ooh, the Denon CEOL N12! I hope you review it! I'm sure it's no Marantz M1, especially since the M1 has a great phantom surround mode. Which reminds me... in your Sony receiver reviews last year (and in the newer Bravia Theater Quad review) you kept talking about how great Sony's surround processing is. Many of those receivers have Sony's "S-Force PRO Front Surround", and I'm curious as to how they might compare to the M1. Thanks!
Good Sir. you know what would be great is a recovering audiophile "cheat sheet" on a variety of audio topics. example is maybe a speaker cheat sheet: how does bi-binding postes work and how ohms and sensitivity works on speakers. just a thought =)
I’ll be replacing my B&W 706 S2s with a pair of 705 S3 Signatures (Datuk Gloss) tomorrow. Powering these will be my much loved McIntosh MC275 MkV, driven by my (solid state) McIntosh C49 preamp. The 75wpc MC275 drives the 706 S2s very well, better than the Parasound Halo A23+ (160wpc) amp I was previously using. I’d love to be getting 805 D4 Signatures, but that $9000 difference in price is just too much… I think the 705 S3 Signatures will do nicely in my 11’ x 14’ dedicated listening room.
Maybe a little off-topic, but I'm glad you mentioned Denon CEOL, I for one would love to see your reviews of Denon CEOL, New Home Amp and Technics sa-c600, especially in comparison with Marantz M1. Thanks!
Hey Andrew and Kristy I watched the "UNPLUGGED 19" and we never got the Kristy's take on the B&W 705 s3 signatures. You guys pretty much just talked about the Nakamichi.
That is because we did not do an Unplugged following this review (construction reasons). Episode 19 immediately followed the Dragon review which is why that was the subject of focus. She liked the 705s and her feelings were in line with this review.
Why no comparison for the 805 D4? I think that would probably be the bigger question. Are they a viable alternative with the center as opposed to just a pair of 805s?
Dear Andrew and Kristy, PLEASE do a review of the Polks ES60 and please compare it with the Polk R700 and the KEFs Q750. I live in Guatemala, Central America, and the only choices are the ES60s, the KEFs Q750 and the JBLs 280F. Have been saving every penny from a long time... please help! And thank you for the wonderful shows... I mean...reviews😊
You’re absolutely right! All speakers that need a sub should have two. Two subs go deeper and louder, and when properly set up, can totally disappear at the same time.
Hey Guys always watch your reviews. I think some of the speaker companies do also. One such company is Triangle . You did a review on their entry line flagship- The Borea Bro 9s. A generally good review. Some of the things you addressed( Cabinet Resonance, Image fuzziness etc) I think they listened to. They just released the new Triangle Bro 10s - The new Borea Flagship in March. Looking at the spec sheet it, It seems in the new speaker they addressed some of the things you and Kristi critiqued. Also its priced the same as the Polk R 700. Hope you review it. Seems around $ 2000.00 The Polk is the Heavyweight champion. ( Boy thats good for the consumer) Any who. Kudos to you and Kristi. Ps you reviewed the Polk Legend 100, and 200. But the Polk L 600 Is the real Diamond in That Line😊
I’ve been Team B&W for life but find myself recently tiring a bit of the B&W sound and leaning more toward the KEF sound of late. Still, that signature (pun intended) sound could easily pull me back. Hopefully you are saving some Furiosa clips for a future video. Bad Boys for life “horrible”? Color me shocked! /s
Hi, Andrew. Thanks for the great review of Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3 speaker. This is also one of my consider to buy this speaker. However, i also like to get the Sonus Faber Sonetto 2 G2 speaker as well. I will choose either Bowers & Wilkins or Sonus Faber. I know they are different sounding speaker. I hope you can give some idea as well!! Do you have a chance to review Sonus Faber Sonetto 2 G2 as well? I will be very appreciate if you can review as well!!! Thanks and best regards!!
I might be biased, but what I'm hearing is screaming for a comparison with Focal. Detail retrieval, speed, emotions... aren't those typical Focal traits? Also, dang, how good do these two color options and the overall design look?
Good morning A&K. The original B&W 704 floor stander circa mid-2000's was my first taste of better hi-fi although I ultimately moved on as not a complete fan of the B&W sound, at least at that time. I would have thought a comparison between the 705 S3 signature and the standard 805 D4 would have been an interesting comparison to find out what the delta is between them at less than half the price. On a separate note, it would be interesting if when the McIntosh review lands, you also had on hand the C2800 tube pre-amp to compare against the C55 solid state version. I find McIntosh unique in this regard, offering basically a very similar pre-amp in either a solid state or tube version allowing one to contrast the sound difference if any. Love the reviews and looking forward to Unplugged. Thanks!
I love mine. 2 amps I pair these with are Bel Canto C5i amp and Devialet expert 120. Do you have listening time with either of these amps? I keep them sided by side having different love for each. The clarity of Bel Canto is amazing, and the bass and fullness of the expert 120 is remarkable because of its amazing setup ability to the B&W’s. Cheers!!
So basically what you’re saying Andrew, if I have a hole burning in my pocket, I need to get these. Since I also adore B&W and miss their sound dearly… you’re literally making me into a trigger man of sorts right now. Also, I have to knock B&W a bit, as I feel like that the Datuk (might have spelled that wrong) finish to me personally looks far better than the wood finish of the 801 Signature. Is that just me? I just feel like all those swirls of wood coloring and staining make it look cheaper than this 700 signature?.. either way, it’s a great review and video and also, I think all manufacturers need to pay attention to B&Ws lineup. Meaning it’s absolute perfection in terms of pricing, placement within the hierarchy of their products and everything else. Looking at you Focal…. And many others. I don’t know if you’ve only gotten the bookshelves, or the towers as well, but do you think the tower would be far hungrier in terms of power knowing the previous generation 700 signatures? Those were insanely power hungry. Think these are easier to drive? I’m still a very much tower guy… Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday and weekend overall! 🎉
I suspect the towers would require a bit more juice or current than the bookshelf speakers here because of their bass response-or lack thereof. We don't have the towers this time, and I'm not sure I'll request them as I don't want to overrun the channel this year with B&W. I would like to think the M1 could work for the towers, but I don't want to put money on it. The older towers took quite a lot of work to get 100% right, and I doubt the new model will be THAT different. As for the finish, I think the fact that the burl used on the 800 Series is synthetic (if memory serves) doesn't look quite right or natural compared to the more straight lines of the Datuk here. Though, flipside argument, the 700 Series has straighter cabinet lines, so maybe that helps sell the Datuk whereas the curved cabinet of the 800 Series would look "weird?"
@@andrewrobinsonreviewsvery interesting take on the finish! Didn’t really think about that. But if it was an options alongside burl, I’d go for datuk still I think.
Hey Andrew, how goes it? Just seen you review on the B&W 705 S3 Signature. My question to you is how does it compare to the Q acoustics concept 50? (If there is A comparison) the reason I ask is because I currently have the Q acoustic concept 30 and was thinking (upgrading) to the concept 50. Thanks for your help. Keep up the good work.
Great review! They are very pretty - especially the blue finish you showed. Probably a silly question - but I always wonder when you show the frequency response - does the room correction like on the cinema 30 “correct” the dip in the frequency response? Are some speakers easier to correct than others - or do the modern electronics generally make tweaks easy? I can say for my Klipsch 5000f tweaking Audyssey multi EQ was game changing.
"Stay ignorant my friends and you'll be just fine." Now you tell me. I made the "mistake" of listening to a pair of 801s driven by McIntosh power in a worthy acoustical environment. Ruined. Ruined for life! :) I've never heard its equal in imaging or that holographic soundstage. Sigh. Thanks for what you do, Andrew. Appreciate you, man!
If you have the time in Friday’s unplugged, could you do a deep dive for why certain speakers require more power, despite low impedance ratings? I think I’ve been undereducated on how ohms and sensitivity factor into necessary amplification.
Lovely review, as always! Could you elaborate on how you integrate your miniDSP SHD with your Mac equipment? Specifically, do you place it between the preamp and amplifier to serve as a crossover for your entire system (e.g., directing frequencies above 80 Hz to the speakers and below 80 Hz to the subwoofer), or do you utilize a full-range output from the preamp and use the SHD solely for subwoofer EQ?
Hi Andrew, great review. However, after watching your recent review of the Marantz C30, do you still think it's a good match for the 705 S3 Signature in a similar setup (LR & C) with a sub? Or is the Sony AZ7000ES the way to go?
Hi Andrew, thanks for another great review. You said that the S3 signature give a taste of the 801 d4 signature while marginally better than the original s3s. Does it mean that the s3s are still great speakers? Are they outclassed by the signatures? Is the difference worth upgrading? Thanks
I see we are back to form with Andrew here. Andrew I keep thinking you need to deploy the tried and true Emotiva XPA Differential Reference 3 x channel amplifier to make these speakers sing. Bi-wired with AudioQuest Rocket 44 speaker cables. It will just make a tremendous difference with Bass and treble you need very powerful balanced multichannel amplifiers.
Hi Andrew, how would you compare the 705 s3 to the older Formation Duo's? Does the simplicity of the Duo's potentially outweigh any sonic advantage of the S3?
Hi Andrew, thanks for this review. I currently own a pair of 705 signatures, accompanied by Marantz 40n. I was wondering what could be the next step in terms of amp or DAC? Many thanks!
Thinking of maybe making the move in future from 702 s2 to 702 s3 signature. I do love the sound of 702 S2 so they Will remain for a few more years, have them plugged into a Hegel h390,
Hi! Loved the review! Have you had a chance to listen to 706 s3? Are they any good? It's impossible to find a comparison between these two, and - as you said - there are speakers that you just have to listen to. That's why comparing specs on paper doesn't really do it for me.
Another great and informative review. I know these are two totally different beasts but what are your thoughts on your B&O A9 compared to the B&W Signatures? Cheers, Ian from Eastern Canada

And IMHO shares the benefits and uniqueness of an active speaker
Design which is short signal path, optimised drive unit behaviour to amplifier, dynamic EQ, full control over dynamic drive unit behaviour, custom dedicated, voiced amp based on the character B&W wants to give to the speaker etc.
Man now I want these. They look amazing. Might have to get these and replace my Klipsch the Fives.
Great review. Always want to know about the 705. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning finish. So much better than the blue option (although it might look better in person)
I liked the blue, though the Datuk is a bit more "universal." I agree; it's really well done!
Great review, here hopefully comes the cinema 30 review 😊
11:02 that 🥊jab towards the lastest Bad Boys. I love it. Till this day I regard the time and money invested into a trip to cinema because of Bad Boys 3😂.
The original is still the best of the four with each one after getting progressively worse. I cannot believe what they've done to Martin Lawrence's character, it's sad.
@@andrewrobinsonreviewswhat he said ☝️
1000% agree. Gotta love modern film making just taking great characters and making them “better fit for today”. Ugh
Awesome review as always. But I do have a couple frivolous questions for both you and Kristi:
Noting your question for Friday!
When did you review the KEF r3 meta? You made a couple of references to this speaker in the review? It’s definitely a speaker I’m really interested in.
We have not officially reviewed it yet on the channel.
Afternoon Andrew, Kristi & Kadie👍👍👍
Good morning, KJ! Hope all is well!
I still don't know how you do it! :)
@@andrewrobinsonreviews i’m good👍👍
@@KristiWright Kadie is still stepping up to the plate, well worth my investment in Bonio’s🤣🤣🤣
Hey hey. Happy sunday! Coffee in hand
Good morning!
Hey, hey! You're making me want a second cup now.

Ah, a B&W, of superb caliber, still sanely more affordable for more of us to seriously consider! Thank you for the review. 🙂👍🎶🎶🎶
Thanks!
75% of the 801, even with a dialed-in sub - sounds like the 801 is a really special speaker.
Andrew, I love watching you and your wife always giving a Stella performance. Hope you guys have a great summer.👍👍👍
Thanks for tuning in!
Good Sir. you know what would be great is a recovering audiophile "cheat sheet" on a variety of audio topics. example is maybe a speaker cheat sheet: how does bi-binding postes work and how ohms and sensitivity works on speakers. just a thought =)
There's a lot of resources for that out there already
great review 👏 now the only thing missing is the mcintosh c55+ mc312 review 😃
Thanks!
Always loved B&W Speakers they like a lot of watts to really shine.
I feel the same about my 707s3. Not at that level, but with the marantz M1 …. It’s a combination I just love to listen to.
Thanks for the great review, as always.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Okay thanks
Why no comparison for the 805 D4? I think that would probably be the bigger question. Are they a viable alternative with the center as opposed to just a pair of 805s?
Dear Andrew and Kristy, PLEASE do a review of the Polks ES60 and please compare it with the Polk R700 and the KEFs Q750. I live in Guatemala, Central America, and the only choices are the ES60s, the KEFs Q750 and the JBLs 280F.
Have been saving every penny from a long time... please help!
And thank you for the wonderful shows... I mean...reviews😊
@@miguelangelruiz8357 , Polk r700 is good
I’ve had the CM6 S2, 705 S2, 805 D2, 805 D3… they need not just one sub but dual subs. The B&W sound epic with dual subs.
Awesome review as always thank you.
Look forward to the day when you review the SVS Ultra Evolution Bookshelf.
I think you may like what's coming up in a future review. I'm not saying it's a dedicated bookshelf review, but stay tuned...
@@andrewrobinsonreviews 👍🏻👏🏻❤️😉
Great review, as always Andrew. Would the signatures pair well with the Sony ES receiver you loved so much? Or too bright as a pair?
I’ve been Team B&W for life but find myself recently tiring a bit of the B&W sound and leaning more toward the KEF sound of late. Still, that signature (pun intended) sound could easily pull me back.
Hopefully you are saving some Furiosa clips for a future video. Bad Boys for life “horrible”? Color me shocked! /s
Hi, Andrew. Thanks for the great review of Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3 speaker. This is also one of my consider to buy this speaker. However, i also like to get the Sonus Faber Sonetto 2 G2 speaker
as well.
Cheers!!
I Hope the kef r3 meta review is coming soon. Thanks
Hair is on point!
I’m still a very much tower guy…
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday and weekend overall!
Are the suggested (18 inches from the front wall) speaker placement measurements taken at the front of the speaker?
I checked the price is roughly same to the new Canton Reference 9, also the original black/white/mocha finish priced lower a lot...aheh...
Well I did the same once by listening to the 802 D4... I ended up buying the 803 D4, once I've bumped into a super special offer for a demo pair 😅
If you have the time in Friday’s unplugged, could you do a deep dive for why certain speakers require more power, despite low impedance ratings? I think I’ve been undereducated on how ohms and sensitivity factor into necessary amplification.
Thanks for your review. Close contest.
Comparison vs 805 D4?
Hey there, Andrew and Kristi!
Hi, thanks for tuning in!
Love the finish!
Pleeeeeease get some of the KEF Blades. I wanna refine my make-believe fantasy speaker setup 😅 Let me play house.
Thank you for review. How close are to B&W 805 D4 ? Thank you
Closer but they don’t “beat” the 805.
Im sticking with my 801s for sure
My Carinas have the same dip, and it's totally unnoticeable. I didn't even bother with PEQ. That JET ribbon tweeter did have to be tamed though.
I feel like these would be perfect for my tv room
Hi Andrew, great review. However, after watching your recent review of the Marantz C30, do you still think it's a good match for the 705 S3 Signature in a similar setup (LR & C) with a sub? Or is the Sony AZ7000ES the way to go?
I have the Cm10s2 5.1 and looking at a upgrade. I was going to go M&k S150 7.1 but this range looks nice
Hi Andrew, thanks for another great review. You said that the S3 signature give a taste of the 801 d4 signature while marginally better than the original s3s. Does it mean that the s3s are still great speakers? Are they outclassed by the signatures? Is the difference worth upgrading? Thanks
Thanks! Very nice review!!🥰
Glad you enjoyed it! Sorry for replying so late, yesterday got away from me. Hope all is well!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Hope all is well with you and Kristi as well!😉
I see we are back to form with Andrew here.
Andrew I keep thinking you need to deploy the tried and true Emotiva XPA Differential Reference 3 x channel amplifier to make these speakers sing. Bi-wired with AudioQuest Rocket 44 speaker cables. It will just make a tremendous difference with Bass and treble you need very powerful balanced multichannel amplifiers.
hello andrew? great video as always
Thanks!
Keep the Marantz or go all the way to McIntosh.
I’m curious if vocals sound somewhat reduced due to that mid range dip?
Thinking of maybe making the move in future from 702 s2 to 702 s3 signature.
I do love the sound of 702 S2 so they Will remain for a few more years, have them plugged into a Hegel h390,
I run them with a Naim Uniti Atom in the kitchen. Excellent. But they can’t compete with my Marten Parker Duo, being stand mount speakers as well.
Hi! Loved the review! Have you had a chance to listen to 706 s3? Are they any good? It's impossible to find a comparison between these two, and - as you said - there are speakers that you just have to listen to. That's why comparing specs on paper doesn't really do it for me.
Please review ATC SCM50’s
Will there be a KEF KC92 review? There currently isn't a single one on TH-cam (with actual tests).
Another great and informative review. I know these are two totally different beasts but what are your thoughts on your B&O A9 compared to the B&W Signatures?
Cheers,
Ian from Eastern Canada
And yes I know or thought you only had one A9
Great video, would these work ok with the original Cambridge CXA 80 amp>
The signatures still have it for me, but these are more affordable and I would not have to suffer the wrath of my wife. lol
