- At the end of June, I traveled to Marengo, Ohio for the Carry Optics Nationals to defend my title. Things were going exactly as planned. I came out and shot my points at a competitive pace and found an early lead. Unfortunately, some equipment that has historically been rock solid for me failed. These things happen to everyone, and this one happened during my match. I switched to my backup on the last day, but I was too far behind. This is a disappointing result for me, because if my equipment had worked we’d have a different outcome. 🦛
I’ve been trying to get a match up with Eric since I was 19 years old, so I am disappointed that my equipment held me back in this match. After the match, I accepted his invitation for an immediate rematch in Ecuador. Upon arrival he chose to shoot a different division for personal reasons. Hopefully we’ll get another opportunity to compete together soon. It’s always more exciting to shoot with some of the best in the world.
I am certain of the outcomes I can create and am looking forward to my next competition. The championship mindset that has gotten me to where I am today will never leave. I am so proud of the work I’ve put in over the years and especially this training camp. These past matches and experiences have truly made me the best and most confident version of myself. It’s kind of funny how that works :)
I will continue to carve my path in this sport and keep staying 100% me. I am thankful to all those that know what’s up, love, and support me ❤️. I am so blessed and grateful. #makeithappen #1
It's amazing to watch the efficiency of a top shooter. Every movement is as deliberate as possible through the whole stage to maximize scoring potential. Thanks for sharing you are an inspiration to a lot of shooters, including myself!
Love seeing you run the cz. Much more enjoyable to see how fast you can push this compared to the other race guns.
0:09 those guys really trust their safety angles. I wouldn't want to stand that close to a target, even if it's a top competitor...
How the hell is that allowed?? No-one who shoots competion would want those people there, ever
this was wild to see considering cameras have remote capability these days
cameraman never dies
The hat cam is deceiving. They are not that close to shooting area. It just looks that way. Awesome runs.
@@petelevakis5999 Dude is like less than 12 feet from the target.
Your movement is INSANE so crazy smooth into and out of every position. Such a great example, main focus point in my training right now.
I think this is the first time I have ever seen a fumble on a mag change. Well shot! Movement is tops!
DAMN ! That was impressive...sorry to hear about the equipment failure :(
Hopefully (in the near future) you'll get a chance to go up against Eric !
Best of luck !
Thank you for posting this brother… as soon as I heard the news that you weren’t in 1st place ….without me even knowing the details, I knew you had equipment failures. You are number 1 bro.. never doubt that. 💪🏼
Well there is australasia, coming soon. Maybe he can redeem himself against Edcel Gino !
Same, I think we all knew something else was up.
World Champ!!!! Always fun to see you run stages
I got to see you shoot live at this match and it was a real treat. You’re a champ on and off the range.
Pretty sick!
Amazing 🎉
Easily one of the best to do it! Mad respect big dawg 🙌💪🏴
It never gets lost. Either you win or you learn. Next time it will be better champ. You have my support from italy ! :D
Thank you for posting! Watched practiscore the whole match. We all knew something weird was going on for you lol. Nonetheless, fantastic match.
Cool you back !!! 💪💪💪💪 💯 Luky Luke
Love your videos and edits. When my friends ask me "what is that IPSC that you are shooting?" - i usually just open one of your videos so they get a proper impression
Are you sure EG didn't sabotage your gear ;-) Always great to see you shoot! You win some, you lose some, that's life. You'll surely get another chance to directly compete against EG in the near future.
Very smooth and controlled. Question, do you pick out small spots on targets to aim to or do you focus on just the A zone or something different? Just curios as being target focus is such a big hurtle for me I’m wondering if I’m over doing it.
@@swiftaudi specific little spots! Drive with the eyes!
Hey buddy, please consider shooting the 2024 Latin American Handgun Championship, IPSC level 4 match held in Argentina in November. Everybody is coming, including the whole CZ Team. If you want more info, check the tournament site or shoot me a message. Cheers!
Hey Christian, what grain load are you using? What distance is your dot zero at? What moa is your dot?
147grain??? and what recoil spring are you using
Nice job. What do competition shooters as yourself use on your hands?
Chalk!
great job bro. what red dot do you use? Thank you
Vortex Defender Xl!
Hi idol wheres the second day? theres only 1 and 3 :(
My optic zero shifted on day 2! 8 rounds on 1 10 yard mini popper, not enjoyable to watch.
Smoking splits, movement and position awareness.
Was Shadow II his primary as well? Didn't know he shot CZ's.
Open is my primary!
Title troll for the win
🔨⏰‼️
Is production optics something new?
Where’s the day 2 stuff?
Some sponsored equipment failed. We won't be getting that I guess
@@Fryheart do you maybe know what failed? was it the dot?
@@piotrpal that's what I heard. But I wasn't there, so...
@@piotrpalaccording to multiple podcasts it was the dot
El pisotón de Tchouaméni es de tarjeta roja en cualquier partido oficial. Es criminal. Otra cosa son las tonterías de los que dicen que lo hizo queriendo.
0:08 Holy shit, I know these are nationals and the shooters are top tier, but I would not put myself that close to a target. Would you walk down range and stand 12 feet from a target while someone is shooting at it? The stages need better spectator control.
What dot are you using?
Hypo 😂😂 Eric give you a chance and you blow it. The Equador match you could go iron saints and beat him in his prime division. You don’t have to settle your mind. Playing all in isn’t the way to beat Eric😂😂😂😂😂
hahaha thanks buddy :) you clearly you don't understand half the story. My optic zero shifted day 2 of nats, I won day 1 and 3. Flew to Ecuador and he borrowed a local shooter's iron sight gun to shoot production.
What's with the "Production Optics?" What's wrong with calling it by the division name the organization gave it? Also... why not show day 2? It's ok to show when things don't go right.
Bingo, show it all.
@@noah.s95 Don't know why that would be a problem. It's not like Sig has had a string of QC issues come to the public's attention recently...
One thing that bugs me about this video is how it's framed as "if my equipment didn't fail, I would've beat Eric. Then when I wanted a rematch, he was too scared." A little humility is needed, especially when discussing the greatest pistol shooter to ever walk the earth. Yes you would've done better had you not had issues with your dot, and it most definitely affected your placement. Eric also won without taking a single shot on the move, and without shooting a single no-shoot, mike, or delta. That means he didn't hit the highest gear he has. He shot safe. Had your optic not failed and you were closer, do you think he still would just shoot safe, or would he have pushed himself?
I wish your optic would've worked the whole match so we could've seen you two go at, because you are the two best shooters in the world. Just remember who he is.
@@joelbrown2427 the reputation of their optics is on the up and up
@@joelbrown2427 Firstly, he never said he would've beaten Eric, just that the outcome would have been different.
Second, we don't know what the 'personal reasons' were for Eric choosing to shoot in a different division.
@@Blackstone9x19 Yes he didn't come out and say he would've beaten Eric. However, I'm sure he wasn't implying with the "different outcome" comment that had his equipment not failed, he would've taken second place. And yes, we also don't know what the "personal reasons" were. However, if Christian knows, he could've said what they were. Most likely is that it was a choice to maximize the number of divisions Team CZ could win in one match. However, again, the ways it's told by Christian is only there to imply that once Eric found out Christian was coming to Ecuador, he was hiding from him in another division.
Kind of a coward thing to only show the days you did well, pretty small hippo energy
@@Thb1990 lol for sure big guy :) I’m not going to post videos of my stuff not working (not a performance thing, equipment thing) but I hope you’re doing great buddy.
Post your runs.
Thanks for sharing.
