      Thank you, Mike! I sure wish I owned one of the original Kalahari II's, but this is def. better than nothing! ;)

    Really nice design. Looks like it will make a great chopper. Has an almost small machete look to it.

      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Darren! When I unsheathed the knife for the first time, I didn't really think of it as a chopper to be honest, but should you need to do some light chopping/branching/de-limbing, I'm sure it'll do it. The steel is, as we all know by now, plenty tough, the blade thickness is ok for some types of chopping and the handle is pretty comfortable for hard blows. Not a very long blade, though, but still long enough to do some semi-hard work. I promise I'll put it to good use, and then get back to you with the results!

    This design is an absolute classic, it has been around for hundreds of years now! Love the carbon fiber

    Just got mine. Hate the sheath. Love the blade. Do you ever find yourself wishing the new Kalahari camp 2 had more finger guard. Or a bravo handle.

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the sheath was semi-lackluster to be honest, mostly because I was expecting another sheath-design. Still functional, though.

    They really are a stunning looking knife. I’d really like to buy one if I can afford it!

    Very nice, thanks for the great view of it, Fredrik. It looks like a beautiful, heavy duty butcher knife to my eye. I like it.

      Thank you, Rick! I also want to say that I agree with you about it looking like a heavy duty butcher-knife.

    Would you happen to have a Jx5 you would sell/trade? If not, and larger/chopper barkies you would sell?

      If you think this is a nice kitchen knife, then you should see the Aurora III, lol! :p But yes, this one will work great in the kitchen, no doubt!

    Argh.... Kalahari camp 2 vs TRC Apocalypse... My head hurts... can't decide which one to buy... please HELP!

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I could only get one of the two, I'd go for the TRC Apocalypse. I do love my Bark River's, some more than others, but the TRC Apocalypse is a must-have in my book and the Kalahari Camp II, while a fantastic knife, isn't.

      @@PinkG10 Thank you this helped a lot. Now I only need to decide do I want the normal v grind now or do I wait if DBK guys gets more of those convex ones.

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I generally prefer convex-grinds on all of my knives, but I have nothing bad at all to say about the grind of the regular Apocalypse. That knife always serves me well in whatever tasks I do with it. Just my two cents, for what it's worth. :)

    Will you make a video of the 2 knives in Action?

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That I will! But, I have a lot of stuff going on right now, so it'll have to wait for a bit. I'm working really hard on my "Definitive Fenix-video" and my "Autine Large Forest Axe Full Review". And after those two, I want to make the Maxace Amber 2S Full Review, and maybe a dedicated Fenix Starina Hawk Full Review ... But I'll make a video showing these knives put to good work!

    Sir, next can you compare kalahari camp 2 with Survivor and Crusader please 🙏🙏🙏

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Kalahari Camp II is VERY different from the Survivor, and especially, the Crusader. The specs pretty much says it all, or maybe not everything, but the specs alone tells you a lot about the differences between these three knives. I don't think I'll put this one up against the Survivor nor the Crusader. Too different designs, intended uses, weight classes etc.
