I haven’t heard this piece for ages! I know it well as played by the author himself back in 1980’s and early 1990’s. Wonderful music, completely different from the standard guitar repertoire indeed. And wonderfully played! Thank you very much madam.
An amazing musical performance by the princess of the guitar! Bravissimo!!! I remember listening to Stepan Rak play it on record, and wondering how on earth he produced these sounds. Today, thanks to Asya, the mystery has been solved. Thank you.
Interesting interpretation. Have you worked hand to hand with the composer, or is it your own interpretation? The little spoon for the harmonics is quite effective, I should try it also.
my title for this piece would be "noises for guitar" but i'd rather hear them by her than any other guitarist i've seen on you tube. i watch her Mertz Elegie almost every evening at bed time. i've watched about 5 min of this ---- time to go

At the end of the song, the guitar goes through a long agony to the death, justifying the de profundis.
Incredible and stunning. Do you ever come to the Netherlands?
