Slade waren früher eine absolut unterschätzte Macht. Geile Songs, einzigartiger Sänger, geniale Gitarrenfront und massive Rhythmus Maschine.
G E I L ‼️
A true 70's live classic !
I've probably listened to Slade Alive 5000 times.
That's 5000 times listening to the best live album ever made. I remember buying it in 1972 and I'm still listening to it. 🎸🎸🎤
@Laurence Levene, same for me!! Classic
And me, belch, oops pardon me.
I think it was the first record I ever bought
One of the main reasons l started playing bass guitar was Jimmy Lea and Slade and 50 years later lm still playing. Thanks Jimmy!
Brilliant live band.
Me too, picked up the bass because of Jim… and McCartney. Saw Slade on Top of the Pops as an 8 year old and bowled over! Still love their music and still find it exciting.
Same here i was 15 saw them in 1974 in Melbourne Australia next day i went out and bought an Ibanez EB3 i had some good success in bands later
Das ist sooo gut!!!
Early Slade before all the glam were one of the best rock bands of the 70s.
That would be Ambrose Slade then.
They were the best, a kid in Australia back then, we didn’t know what hit us in January 1973 when I saw them live, we loved you Slade then and now from down under. 🤗
The most underrated band in rock with the man with the best rock voice voice ever noddy holder keep on rocking
Underrated???? They were huge all over the world, except USA..
@davidglow3 underrated now just known for that bloody Christmas song.

Underrated by rock fans...
@@davidglow3unfortunately the meat heads on TH-cam all think every artist they listen to was underrated .You won't find a single clip without someone saying the U word
Slade were the first band I saw live in October 72ni think a Sheffield City Hall they were supported by Suzi Quattro and Thin Lizzy. Saw them again at Monsters of Rock Donnington in 81 they were awesome on both occasions. Slade Alive was one of my most listened to albums in my teenage years
I was at MofR Donnington 1981. Funny I remember Slade blowing every one over in the afternoon but not AC DC at night. Or anyone else at all apart from Blue Oyster Cult who we all thought were rubbish.
But then again we had been drinking all day!
Happy Times back then.
@@tommaguzzi1723 Agree on BOC were very disappointing and their sound was crap. Slade blew people away I seem to remember them firing bog rolls into the crowd. Had seen AC/DC a few months before on the back in black tour they were better then in a small venue and v loud
Yes I was at that MOR. SLADE were absolutely amazing. Best band there for sure. Blue Oyster Cult were terrible. However I believe their drummer had just quit the band and one of the roadies was playing drums 😮
ŔEMEMBER !!!😍😍😍😍
The best live album of all time! SLADE is simply spetacular!!!!!
isaw Slade at the Torquay town hall in 72/73 abs brilliant bounced all night still listening to them now at 68 and bouncing
Is saw Nazareth there in about 76 I think was t a bad venue
I was a teenager in 1972 slade was one of the favourite bands i have never been able to go to one
Of your shows
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Best live band ever🐻🤗👍
I like SLADE...and try Dr Feelgood, they are not bad ;-)
For sure, seen the best on offer, but these guys are the masters.
Until Kraftwerk came along. 🎸
Without a shadow of a doubt !
Wow! What a find! Slade in 72 were ferocious!!! The Joplin song (move over) is a classic and tailor made for Slade to cover! I played bass in a band in the late 80s and we also played Move Over. First time we played it at rehearsal, I gave it the full treatment, and the guitarist's jaw hit the floor... he said "wow you're playing some dangerous bass there"... little did he know I was a Jimmy Lea fan since Slade Alive was released in 72! Slade Alive is my all time favorite album and I just love Jimmy Lea's energy and tone!!!
I first heard it when I was a teenager. One of my sisters had the record. I listened to it many times later when I wanted to clear my head true dirty rock and roll
Great Band.

Er...... Deep Purple?
@@darylholmes1362 yes a great band

I HAD this LP and Bowie's 'Spiders' LP when they were released. What an incredible time that was for Music...
Seen em late 70s Sophia Gardens Cardiff on an off chance of spare tickets. never really rated them ,as I thought I was a real rocker deep purple, led zep and so on. What a shock they were fuckin amazing
I saw them in 1972 on my 16th birthday. They were awesome 👍👍👍👍

Hello. Were those records easily available in the USSR in the 1970s? Just curious about that. Peace.
Saw them open for arowsmith in Kansas City 4/1976

Missing Know Who You Are - one of the best from "Alive"
It improved massively on the studio version. More like something from Killer by Alice Cooper. It had that playground sound about, and a lot more aggressive.

Allerdings sind die Gitarren etwas out of tune☺
Noddy would of been a good acdc vocalist to replace bon Scott
Why would Holder give up a band as good as Slade for them? Besides can you imagine AC/DC having to play "Merry Xmas Everybody"? They chose right with the guy from Geordie, who were a second rate Slade anyway!
@@LucyOLastic acdc are a much bigger and better band than slade
@@hawkwind77 they might be bigger, but really, think about it. Noddy Holder who is the voice of Slade, a peculiar English group suddenly transposed to Australia and not part of that great hit songwriting team of Lea/Holder anymore? Slade are an institution! Maybe not as big as AC/DC, but they have many more memorable tunes! Songs that everybody knows!
How many songs have AC/DC had number one hits with? None! They are an album band, which covers for that lack. there are great tunes like Highway to Hell and Whole Lotta Rosie and all, and they continue to sound like AC/DC....but I think they are a bit more meat and potatoes than Slade's Beatles stylings and arrangements. AC/DC always stayed exactly the same. And why change a winning formula? They needed someone who would be fine with that. Holder was just that bit more versatile. I'm sure if he was asked he would have been flattered. It's not really him though.
I think Slade rocked much harder live. They had more to prove. They were not seen as "real rock and roll." The could however win their audience, as they did many times over, famously at Reading in 1980. The evidence is on this recording and on Slade Alive. They were on a par with Alice Cooper and Mott the Hoople.
Video is more better.
I know all of you loved them to death but everyone's taste in rock music is different, and speaking for myself I never liked them at all! But I won't say bad attacking insults ,I don't want to offend the fans ,but I never liked their overall sound!
I'll watch it if I want and up yours!@@TheDantesqo
