If the first two were able to run 14:52 off a 9:04 3k split, they're clearly capable of going sub 14:50.

Great talent from Kenya enjoyed the finish!

How nice of the lapped runners to swing wide in order to let the leaders stay on the rail and run the shortest possible distance.

Lol. I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt and say they were so absolutely knackered that they didn’t have the energy to think to do that! ☺️

Parker Valby is the best at the 5000m, 14:52.18 Valby is much more dominant than everyone else. Parker's front running style wears down other runners and destroys the competition. And rightfully so, Valby received the Bowerman award.

That was exciting! Thanks to the BYU pacers. I bet that was exhausting for Riley Chamberlain since she ran a 3000 race this weekend too.

I don't get why the first pacer to drop off ran outside the other pacer the entire time.

She was trying to help share the mental burden of pacing with her teammate but she looked injured before she dropped out.

great running all-round but those 2 white girls hung tough and were also super impressive.

How enjoyable, watching United States dollars developing foreign athletes instead of our own. 😟

You are being a bit narrow minded. They bring as much or more to the table. I think if you ask Parker she would tell you that it helps her to run against the best.

It is indeed enjoyable that the human race's source of supreme distance running genetics - the horn of Africa - gets the opportunity to develop so we all may see the limits of human potential pushed to new heights.

Soon all universities will recruit from East Africa and the sport will no longer be interesting. People want to see runners from their own country.

@@showdown66 Did you watch the Olympic 1500 this year? Out of 12 runners only two were from Kenya and they came in last and second from last. The point is over the years the East Africans elevated the sport and the rest of thee world realized what was possible and began working as hard as the Africans and now the sport is better. The same thing will happen in college track.
We've seen the same thing in the NBA. For decades it was totally dominated by black Americans. The last few years the superstars have been from Europe, and they, mostly white.
