Spike was the godfather, but Monty Python took it to another and more hilarious level. As the saying goes. If the pupil does not get better than the teacher, then the teacher has failed. I believe Spike taught the Python's so well they became better. I love the fact that Spike Milligan makes a small cameo in what is Monty python's masterpiece. Life Of Brian.
True. But I think this ages equally with time. Looking back in history this madcap humour led to greater things and is the genesis of British humour through Monty Python, Not the Nine O'clock news, The Young Ones and then Bottom. This must have seen to be very alien in its time. Good that the BBC and other UK broadcasters were brave enough to show it
Your honour... may I ilucidate... OK but I warn you... you may go blind 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤ Spike and Mr Z cars couldn't hold back their laughter so they turn their backs to the camera..
This is what a childhood in Imperial India and 5 years in the 56th Regiment, Royal Artillery, in North Africa and Italy, dealing with Rommel and Kesselring, can do to you. And of course the "Q" series out-lasted Python finishing with "There's a lot of it about" in 1982. th-cam.com/video/6yVNgF_Azq8/w-d-xo.html
No python were a poor imitation Spike did,not go to fancy university he was fighting in the war like my dad in north Africa and Monty casino also dunkirk
"Look madam I can I see you're busy" and the scene transitions are just miraculous - no wonder Python were worried.

It’s phenomenal. Way ahead of its time. Spike was such a fuckn genius. Master of the absurd...
