I got my M201 in 2005 and also did 2,500 miles in my first year! I've had so many adventures with it around 5 countries, going to military shows, parades, convoys etc. Of course one vehicle is never enough, so it was joined by a 1944 Dodge WC51 and a 1943 GPW in the following years, reducing the annual mileages of all three as the miles are shared out. My wife loves driving the Jeep too, so some of the local events, we take a Jeep and Dodge or go out "His 'n' Hers" Jeeps!
Let's see some more on the road footage with a dash-cam or fender-cam.

Hi Chris, the Hotchkiss M201 is brilliant! Descended directly from the Willys MB starting with 22,000 used Jeeps at the end of the war rebuilt for the French then as the years rolled on parts made under license by Willys Overland and all the improvements made a legend even better! Stronger chassis, stronger engine with gear drive camshaft, French Solex carb, 24 volt electrics, one piece wheels - safer than split rims, most like mine get badges up in WW2 drab, most Jeeps used in Band of a brothers are actually M201s disguised with WW2 parts etc 😁👍
Friend Farmer Chris has his M201 Jeep for sale this now
It’s on Marketplace in Dunbar 17K and it’s minted and looks WW2, you will see it on some of my films 😁👍
      Cheers Bruce

Well you certainly got a better buy than I did, I paid 13 grand on mine, it was fine until I got it home and found out it was a piece of junk
Engine was cracked, wrong fuel tank, wrong carb
I paid to get it fixed, got ripped off again
Just took it for short trips, then I went to show, coming back the engine blew again, not my fault, the fitter didn’t tighten up the nuts correctly
It’s now got the right fuel tank, a generator engine, decent canvas seats, ( repo)
Haven’t been anywhere since it’s come back, I’m scared it’s going to blow again
I know I will never get the money back I have spent on buying, renovating my Jeep, all up I would say I have spent 30k on it (that’s buying it and fixing it up)
No one is going to buy it
(PS, I got this link from Facebook)

Thats a shame the luck you had, good you got it fixed eventually, I put my trust in the previous owner who true his word did indeed carry out the work documented,
