- This week I have been thrifting, I have some lovely items for fall. I also have a Halloween makeover and some easy budget friendly ideas for one of a kind autumnal decorating. This week I start with the fireplace.
If your looking for inspiration for a fall and Halloween that's not as generic or just a little different from the malls and high street, your in the right place.
So I really loved loved the hands bookends!

Can I just say first that we thrifters need to UNITE!! Some of the prices in the shop were just outrageous! 9.99 for a cup and saucer, just 1 cup and saucer??!!! Plus, it's used! You can buy a new one as pretty for the same or less!! I digress! Loved the hands the most! Very creepy and fun!! I too, love Fall and can't wait to be free from the hot, hazy and humid days I don't enjoy in Maryland! Love the Fall colors and the cool crisp air and the many out door flea markets we go to! Then we come home and light the fire in the fireplace and watch creepy movies!! Enjoy decorating and crafting!! Always like to see what you come up with. You have great imagination!
Thrifters of the world unite 👍 the problem with most of the thrift shops is they are for profit so its shareholders just get richer, I always like to try buy from charity shops at least they are doing some good. 😌

Only way it would work is if thrifters stopped going for like a month and don't buy anything over $5 when they/we return.
It’s actually the resellers that have drove prices high in the thrift and charity shops. Ppl who just like to thrift for fun have to pay more! IMO

I love it all! I did witch hands with some very creepy candle holders shaped like hands. I got some mummy hands i need to work on. I think i might make a video out of it
I also recovered an ottoman. But i used glue and then hammered nails to keep it all tacked down in place. But a nice mustard fringe would compliment my burgundy material. My favorite is the bunting. I don't know why i love it so much but don't make any. I should. Maybe for halloween my favorite holiday😊❤

So many of the prices at the thrift shops are absurd. Value villiage is the worst for gouging. Those of us who are actually poor and on a fixed income can’t afford to shop there anymore.
I’m agree 100% it’s insulting, everything is donated and all profits go to shareholders nothing back to those in need. The world has gone e mad 😠

I’m in the desert. Sometime we still have triple digits going into October! I love to early prep for a fall we never see. It helps me beet the heat!

I literally lol when I saw the hands! love them, so funny, whimsical & unexpected. I'd leave them out all year round. The banner is very cute & so is the frame. That wreath is pretty awesome too, who'd of thought coffee filters could look so good. That pitcher reminds me of the album cover from the Ames brothers "There will always be a Christmas". One of the albums I grew up on as a child 😊

You always find some good stuff in the thrift shop ,love those wood slices ,I love that pheasant dish.I have made curtains with vintage burlap material for the living room it has pheasants and flowers printed in lovely autumn colours.

Oh thank you! We have had such hot weather again in Canada but we have also had so much rain and flooding, I will be glad for the fall it’s my favourite time of year. I have cut down on my thrifting (the prices are so high here) but like you I’m lucky and still find some great bargains 😉
I know this is an older video but maybe you'll see it. I just saw another video using birds like you brought. The were glued to a small branch with a cloche over it. Very cute!

The straw bag was a great find. Never saw one like that. I like the needlepoint pictures. So unique looking. The box of little quirky birds is something I would have grabbed. Maybe you’ll make a little birdhouse display or something. Those are some realistic looking pink florals. The witch hands! I like how you set up the plate with the brown feathers behind it. Love em! Good job on the coffee table. My three top favorites were the picture frame with 🪵 chips, Brilliant idea! So cute, homey and rustic looking! And the Fall banner with the little acorns! So clever! And I loved the wreath! Agatha Christie! Great find! I love so many of the British classics. They always made me want to run through the Moors. Hopefully I will one day! 😆 😍🪵🖼 🌸 🌰🖐 🖐 I don’t care for the bright orange either. I’m thinking of browns, coppers, amber, rust , purplish reds, deep ochre 😊

The way I decorate our home makes it very easy to decorate for fall. I use those colors all the time. Green, tan, brown, dull red, mustard.

Somehow, you always have something that inspires me. I have been wanting to make a paper wreath, but I've never seen one with the coffee filters. Beautiful! Are you not concerned about it getting wet? I have a pre-made banner from the dollar store that I want to embellish for fall. Yours is lovely, and I will be adding the fairy lights now. That frame is so unique and beautiful. I would happily use it in my home! Thank you for another inspirational and relaxing video.

I use a good quality hot glue (gorilla) is my favourite it stands up to the extreme hot and cold. Typical Canadian weather 😅
