Now that I am traveling again , this is a need for my luggage. Great tutorial 👍👍👍 . I don’t have a serger so my version won’t look as professional as your version .
Will make one and if it comes out good, then I will make for my husband and children .
Thank you for the video. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

During my first fitting I realised the bag handles were all offset! However as I now had the actual mock up on the bag it was fairly easy to alter. Thanks for a great tutorial.

What fabric did you use? Great tutorial!

Thank you! I used a medium-weight, 100% polyester knit fabric. I don’t recommend using very stretchy fabric because the cover needs to fit snugly over the luggage.

      I used a 100% polyester knit fabric, medium/light weight.
You can use a polyester/spandex blend, but ensure it’s not too stretchy, as the cover needs to fit snugly on the suitcase.

Thanks! It’s better to use polyester (about 95%) with spandex (~5%)

Great effort and passion. But, copy/pasted comment:
    "
I just posted my thoughts on this elsewhere, so I'll allow myself to say a word about it here too.
Drugs? From the moment you, me, you and you else, know that, apparently, people can slip drugs into our luggage, that should mean that the authorities know it too and all the more so, that we: that therefore, we no longer really have to worry about it: we should instead be able to demand that this kind of traffic be more closely monitored by those whose job it is (up to the State) without the average person having to fear being treated like the pope of drug trafficking, when the popes of drug trafficking would be taking it easy.
Then, the thought in question, concerning the machines for "filming" luggage in airports:
    "It's shameful.
First, we are talking about the ecological damage of plastic... Then, if employees or companies are pretty useless, "professionally" speaking ("morally"? "Intellectually"?), when they are not capable of answering for their responsibility concerning our luggage that we entrust to them, it should not be up to us to "adapt"... Finally, as I have long since lost the age of innocence, I sometimes even come to imagine companies that would knowingly ask some of their employees (end of year bonus?) to deliberately damage suitcases, or, to let terrorist videos circulate on this subject, to sell a new "service", for which the profit margin in relation to the cost price must be downright astronomical. I saw the "service" at about 15 euros, when the real cost must be 1 euro (electricity, plastic): the economic depreciation of such a machine should not worry us, since the basic problem lies with the companies: either they do not have enough staff in charge of baggage, or they do not know how to train/make these staff responsible, etc.
But... We "adapt", and at our own expense!?
It's incredible how we have been fairly domesticated.
"Professionalism"? In what world would we live, if we only had surgeons, dentists, scientists, justice personnel, police officers or soldiers, even employees in charge of nuclear infrastructures, with this same semi-capable state of mind...?
Of course, all this is only very subjective."
    "
