      At Home in Turkey Hi I am planning on doing a section or two of this hike! Which one would reccomend being the most scenic and "worth it" part. Help is appreciated thank you:)

      @@aldoranematzada8214 It will depend on what you prefer, but I just love the coast line. And the first stretch form Ovacik to Kabak is known to be the best for the views and the sunsets. It is well hiked, so you do not get lost and there is accommodation too.

    Hello from Ireland! You have a new subscriber...You are a special woman and I congratulate you...I was very amused 😅by the story of the tent found in the trash, which convinced you to go on a long hike.....Since I will also do a Lycian way entire long hike, at the beginning of March, I searched on TH-cam for information about this route, and that's how I discovered you. Congratulations and thank you for all the work done!

      Thanks for subbing! And wow! You are going for it.
      Be prepared for rain and maybe something to keep your feet dry for crossing steams after rain. Even plastic bags will do. March can be still chilly if rained wet.
      Do you have a contact here in Turkey? If not get hold of me via Facebooks messenger or something if in trouble. You just want that feeling someone is out there right? Ellis Flipse on facebook
      Good luck!

      @@AtHomeInTurkey Thank you very much for the answer and for the advice. First of all, I live in Ireland so the rain is not a problem....I don't know anyone in Turkey, but I have enough experience in long distance hiking. What I want to tell you is that, after doing a little research in the last hours , I decided to hit the road at the end of March and I will be on the trail for the whole month of April. But not before watching all the videos posted by you😄.Thanks again Ellis.

    Hi, I wanted to do this trekking so badly, can't find a travel buddy, would like to hike alone this trail, my only concern is got lost. I heard some part of trails are a bit dangerous, slippery, falling rocks, suggestions if I am hike alone?

    • @AtHomeInTurkey

      If you don't want to hike alone you can ask on the Lycian way page on Facebook. But you can do it alone. Many do. I was alone the first week. No problem.

    Hello, I have been following you for some time and was wandering if you could tell me what the average cost of pensions is along the Lycian way. I am planning to hike from east to west sometime during April 2023. Any information will be most welcome.

      With the fall of the lira it's hard to say. İt's been years ago that I was there. Look for the Turkish Facebook group about the Lycian way. They will help you also if you ask in English.

    Hello, thanks for the video, in which month did you do hiking ? I heard it is not so advised to hike during summer months.

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I started end september. The next year I went back in the summer. For the high mountain section you can but it's hard. Carry a lot of water. Every waterpoint I drink as much as I can and carry 4 liters. Outside the summer I carry two and a half liter.

  • @dreambig2609
    @dreambig2609 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hey what time of the year did you hiked it ? and is is safe to camp for women?

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I started at the end of September for one week and did a week in October and November. Came back the next year close to summer because of lockdowns. I have felt safe all the time. But wild camping I started doing later on and prefer that now. No noise, just good solid sleep. You will find info on the camping spots in the discriptions under the videos.
