No doubt our pal GUY does a great job taking time reviewing all these libraries and each time I see them I wind up saying "those guys at ProjectSAM really do know what they are doing". As an old fashion musician, I always end up mesmerized listening these products as well the others from CineSamples. I wonder if these two companies are on the top of this industry. It should be, their products are amazing...!
nice video the way you demoing the library is so natural not like the other, which is just showing the goodside of the library please, more and more video demo :D
Thanks for all the comments. Takera - when I did the review it was an i7 2600k, streaming from SSD and 32gb RAM. Chris - no, its a pre-baked strings / choir ensemble. Rohan (sorry I'm so behind!) yes, top of the swell usually works best imo, though sometimes the lower dynamics are very good too, and legato speed - no. Del - it's just regular major and minor here, so it's a bit limited on voice leading.
Hi, I'm really thinking about getting this instrument as it sounds amazing, but the only issue for me at the moment is that it seems that the ensemble in each patch are set and must play together; you can't mute a certain ensemble. For example, in the 'dark basses' patch, you always have to have the choir part with it as well; you can't say mute the choir and just have the strings. Does anyone know if you can actually do this?
It sounds to me as if the legato transitions work best at the top of the swell - am I correct? or is there a way to change the way speed of the legato transition? Great review!
yes, judging by this demo, I think it just like cineOrch legato transition is this library surplus but cineOrch have extra chord inversion, not standard mayor n minor chord
Why in the name of all that is holy do they NOT have either 1) HARMONIC SCALE CHORDS so you don’t have to switch octaves every note when trying to do legato??! Or 2) mix and match your own maj/min or yellow and blue? I’d buy it right this second if it had that but otherwise it’s easier to just do the correct chords…

this dudes voice is just cool LOL
So close to playing the Map Room from Raiders there... :)
Espectacular.
This sound hasn't aged a bit!
Doesn’t have inversions, does it? That would give this so much more use…

Nice CONCISE video again Guy :-) Any idea if there are going to be more chord types in the future? This is a bit like CineOrch isn't it?

these are chromatic mediant triads mainly using major to major or minor to major and so on... in major or minor thirds apart for transitions.
What control is there over chord inversions or other voicings? I want to insure that I can write with smooth voice leading.
everything well but how can we get note names :)
Can you play chords that are more complex than just Minor/Major?
Is there any way to mute the choir?
wicked
