    Awesome! You may get some requests with work like this. 😉

      @@CommonCentsOutdoorsman Thanks man.
      Actually I have been getting some request. Honestly I just like keeping it going as a hobby , not sure about taking on projects .
      My nerve issues in my hands can be a chore, If it wasn't for that I probably would make stuff for folks .
      Dang disc buldge in my neck has really made things suck lately . It's when ya need that detailed strength like when honing an edge where my fingers lose grip and become really weak and sore.
      I do a knife and then have to take a couple of weeks off.
      Sometimes my desire to make stuff wins over my common sense 🤪😏

      @airiksknifereviews9548 I hear you man. Working through some similar issues myself. Have you ever tried an inversion table?

      The disc and spine troubles in general are a common problem in my family. If it could be resolved through surgery you really should get it done. You will start a new life agter getting rid of the pain and the limitations it brings. Very good handle by the way@airiksknifereviews9548

      @CommonCentsOutdoorsman Nope I haven't but I do have a decompression device. I've heard the tables and things like that that use gravity work better.

      @wismods Yeah, it runs in my family also. Things were way bad for many months, and they wanted to operate, but the incurance denied it until it gets "worse". I actually am way better than I was a year and half ago ,so for now, I'm getting by.
      I've had surgery on my lower back that did not go well. I know that's how it goes with back stuff, it's' not a guarantee at all .
      My daughter just had major neck surgery hers didn't go well either, nothing changed.
      It is necessary at times, esp with weakness and numbness, so im not anti surgery. I've just been the unlucky one along with my daughter.
      Degenerative back disorder sucks.

    Excellent job! That's a really great deal! Does it perform like a well treated D2?
    Man, I'm a little envious that you guys can get them down there. Nice!

      @@kanukkarhu Thank you,
      Yes it holds a good edge and and definitely is D2. I gave the edge a slight convex cause D2 zero scandi grinds are chippy. All it needs is some aggressive stropping , the bevel is big so plenty of edge to play with.

    Could it be lignum vitae? It's very dense and resinous, and it's that color.

    • @airiksknifereviews9548
      @airiksknifereviews9548  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MountainLife1 You could be right. It does have the little light colored specs when ya first sand it smooth. It's even sparkles a bit from the resin in the right light. It's some really good wood, 300 grit paper makes it super smooth once you go higher it has its own polish effect.
      Very easy wood to finish and takes treatment super easy.

    Wow, that looks like a very competent blade. I would like to follow your suggestion and mod one up for myself.
    Is the tang solid or skeletonised?
    Also, did you see my video about your blade? It's about ready but I would like to make a balsa sheath with magnetic detent for it, that you can then modify to your preference.

    • @airiksknifereviews9548
      @airiksknifereviews9548  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dongkhamet1351 The tang is skeletonized but it's not bad , no right angles and plenty of steel between the cuts. I have no issues cause it has three point for pins or corby bolts.
      I left a comment under that vid brother . 👍

    Did you ever find a sheath? I was thinking of using the BPS knives that has a dangle.

      @airiksknifereviews9548  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @carlos_2856 That's what I have it in . It's a perfect fit ,I show it in an update video.
      BPS stock on sheaths has been out for awhile now on Amazon. I'd prefer it to be a bit smaller but for the money they are nice sheaths.
